i usually post a long winded heartfelt response to these but i dont have it in me today

the long and short of it is, the usernames and post history and upvote system are the biggest problems

you have people using another users post history to discredit them in argument, if you've been posting stuff that dissents from the opinion of the current thread your ass is shut down

any comments in the thread that dissent from the group opinion, is downvoted and you dont see it anymore.

you have users not posting the real truth, sugar coating issues, to save face in the community

reddit is where free speech goes to die

Completely agree with this.

For all of the shit 4chan gets, the posts that disagree with us are right next to the posts that do. Hell, I've even changed my opinion on many topics because of the disagreement allowed here.

Reddit will be 10-20 comments saying the EXACT FUCKING THING.

The worst part is when the "top" comment is just a sarcastic one-liner that really doesn't translate into anything but "I don't like this" and all the following comments are just more sarcastic comments. They shield themselves from criticism by not actually making any points of substance.
