Great Gatsby is rich people problems: the book, the shitty movie.
The movie is an accurate representation of 99% of people.
They're mostly stupid, empty shells.

Are you fucking retarded? Did you watch the movie? If you think Gatsby is a terrible person "and the people he surrounds himself with" (literally only person besides Daisy he surrounds himself with is Nick who is a great 10/10 friend) then you need to rewatch the movie.

Watch the end more importantly from when Gatsby is in the car with Daisy to when he is in his casket with nobody attending his funeral. All the poor guy wanted was to win Daisy's love, and Daisy is such a materialistic whore that was the only way. And even Gatsby wasn't very interested in her looks, he said the reason was he'd never met someone so nice before.

He's not smart for being so absolutely obsessed with Daisy, but that doesn't make him a bad person. He simply was attached to her the moment he first kissed her and spent his life to trying to win her love.

That stupid whore bitch completely fucked him over despite everything the gentleman did. Him being rich and having money and spending it to win Daisy's life might be silly, but definitely not a bad person.

I was in high school when that movie came out. I told one of the teacher's aids that I thought it was funny how the guy in the beginning mentioned something about giving niggers too much freedom will lead them to taking over, while this is clearly exemplified by the movie's sound track being completely nigger-fied thanks to modern niggers taking over. She said that what I said was the most ignorant thing she's ever heard.

So it's more of the reaction of the movie than the movie itself that made me hate a woman.

In the grander scheme of things it does. Instead of using his power, money, and societal position to do anything greater than throwing some parties, he just...
