Google has lots of good results for your question. I would stay away from IPhone 5s I went through 2 of them and they have a lot of hardware issues. I now use an LG g2, works pretty well some apps worked better on the iPhone some work better on Android. My lg has 2x as many mp for pictures but I think my iPhone took better pictures but it could also be from a lower ppi that the pictures appeared to be better. Well that's my 2 cents anon no matter what you get it will be alot better than an old iPhone 4.

You can get a new iPhone 5s for $150. That's what I'd get. Currently have an iPhone 5 which I'm using on the free ringplus cell phone service.

I currently use a Galaxy S6. The only gripe I have with the phone is that the Samsung earphones are absolute garbage. Like, they're so bad that the replacement ones I got after they broke, also broke. Other than that, it's pretty good. I don't know if I like it more than the iPhone 5 (my previous phone) but they're really not that different.
