>People unironically support doing shit like this
There are comments in the thread saying "omg ur all so bitter. lighten up xD :^)"
you seem edgy bud
i'm just saying it's kinda sentimental. a tongue in cheek poke to if things get bad, which does happen.
idk.. it's a subtle reminder that the love of your life is bound to you.
How about the fact this bitch put a bad joke on their symbol of everlasting love? I would be surprised if the dude wasn't an effeminate feminist cuck like all his friends on r/matriarchy.
To each their own. IMO it kinda cheapens the sentiment if you have to include explicit conditionals with any gift (I'm supposed to keep wearing my ring? I had no idea!). Is this really any different from a man who buys his SO lavish gifts in exchange for affection/sex? If the man had a note with that gift that said "Now we fuck" or "Stop being angry" wouldn't that spoil the gesture? The ring itself is already the symbol of their commitment, having that engraving is redundant at best or manipulative at worst.
In that lens, I can understand why many people would doubt the integrity of this relationship.
i get your points, very astute.. it all comes down to the context i suppose. is she some clingy psycho? is this just a tongue in cheek type joke?
every relationship is different yknow. i just don't agree with op's complaint (which is an argument of nothing?)
