Yellow submarine in Kyoto, the main focus is magic, but I still always find people to play yugioh with. Everyone is really friendly, they even helped me to get back into it, because I stopped playing yugioh a while after synchros were introduced. People told me that yellow submarine stores are generally a hit or miss, but the one in kyoto is great

I generally dislike IRL card games. I tried to get into yugioh with a group a friend in my freshman dorm, and it was a huge waste of the $20 I spent to build a deck.

I enjoy playing Magic 2014 on my PC though.

Why do you thought I was a brit, I didn't even life there before. I really needed to get a cardgame fix, but online games don't really satisfy me, so yugioh was the best choice because I already knew most of the rules. Was it just not fun or were there any other reasons? Just using starter decks is pretty meh because you have no real options and possibilities, but I totally understand how you can dislike irl card games, they are a huge money sink

You must be a ESL bratposter. I know there's a rogue one around the board, and I occasionally see one in the /britfeel/ threads. I did buy a starter deck, it was some sort of XYZ bullshit, and I really shouldn't have. I was desperate to get more "in" with my friends since I was a mega poorfag barely able to afford groceries, and usually had to get a loan from my friends whenever we ate at a restaurant. I thought if I just put in a bit of money, a deck would last a while, and enable me to participate with them. In reality, I just didn't enjoy the game. Magic 2014 is fun because I play it solo and it's more of a challenge for myself, than a challenge against someone else. No cards to buy either, and i'm the most jewish, greedy, penny-pinching, thrifty, cheapskate person I know.
