I'm not the guy who're you're responding to and I agree with the basis of most of your points. There are certain standards and traditions that have been in place for quite some time and there is legal equality in most regards.

But what you don't account for is the social norms held by both genders. Women who commit assault or other crimes are less likely to be convicted by a jury and most of the time receive less punishment than males for the same crimes.
