I didn't apply but if i did, it would be to clean up /r9k/ and remove all the low-quality posts and threads. Too many people see /r9k/ as another /b/.

A few people tried, as far as I could tell. After the last applications, for a minute the quality control on the board was great, all the shitposts and /b/ tier posts were getting removed. I'm guessing someone made them stop though. Sucks

A few good posts get buried in a sea of shit. Nobody cares about lurking anymore. The whole point of people saying "lurk moar" was so people could find out about board culture etc. Not just come straight from reddit and spout shit.

Not him, but plenty of people make quality posts. Those threads get 0 replies most of the time, maybe 5 or 6 on a good day, and then they sink right to the bottom. The problem is that low effort shit posters vastly outnumber anyone who wants actual discussion. It's a lost cause.
