Befriend your neighbors. The biggest difference between where I live and any white neighborhood I've been in is that there is actually a sense of community. Everyone really does know each other. You'll never be a part of that community because you are a white outsider, but be nice to your neighbors and you'll at least be cool enough to not get raped or robbed.
