Can I even achieve a happy existence?

You? Nah, probably not.

>Can I even achieve a happy existence?
That depends, can you live virtuously and without the vices that control you?
>>25888767
if you have rich parents you might.

It's all about your mindset. A robot may never achieve happiness since he cannot even fathom it. His mind is not equipped to view anything in a positive light.

The world will violate my identify before I can defend myself. Living by virtue may be futile now, everything I cared for was destroyed even before I was born, even the gods have abandon us.

Trips of truth.
Wishing for quads so I can put an end to my misery.

Oh shit a get is coming up

How can any sane individual see light in this cave named night. I am not a madman to see monkeys dancing on the wall, falling in such denial would be to lie upon myself.

I would say that life is pretty great if you make it so. Humans have cognitive biases and we have limited info. So do you want to take the blue pill or the other much sadder blue pill? I'd rather live life in comfort if that meant being a little less objective. Because at the end of the day pessimists aren't exactly objective either.

then I guess you have your answer, you already have an excuse as to why you can't/won't live righteously so why should someone like you be happy.

What would living by virtue achieve? Virtue has little meaning, may as well enjoy the earthly pleasures and join the secret society of hedonism.
>>25888946
That would violate my identity, I would become invisible, stars were born to shine you know, but even that seems futile, there aren't any connection points between the celling and my back.

you are already enjoying earthly pleasures and look where you are, most robots are enjoying earthly pleasures and look where they are. They play games, they eat, they fap, it will never be enough, look at normal people, they go out and party with friends, have sex, get married, and they still suffer from the same misery as does anyone who lives a hedonistic and sinful life.
Living virtuously you will have no regrets of your mortal existences. A good person is a content person. They don't suffer. But its your life so by all means do what you do, if you have life all figured out then go ahead and enjoy your earthly pleasures all you want. Live selfishly and let your sins and vices dictate how you live and see how happy/miserable that makes you.
