It really depends on the week or even day. The depressive episodes were the worst before I got on Prozac, I had always had highs, but nothing to be too worried about, just elevated mood and spending a little too much money.

After being on Prozac my downs became less frequent, but in turn my highs and agitation became crazy. I found myself saying things out loud that really should have been kept to myself. And as far as the agitation, there were times I would get pissed at work or school and would go to the bathroom to punch the wall or hit my head against it. It's as if my entire body was trying to get away from myself if that makes sense. And then of course all the instances of grandiose where "I figured everything out"

The first psychologist I had had pointed in the direction of bipolar, but my parents refused to accept it. But today my psychiatrist started me on Lamictal because of my mood swings.

Tl;dr: bipolar 2 sucks ass, but I can't even imagine the hell that bipolar 1 must be.

Bipolar type 2 here. Medications never worked, I do electric shock therapy now, feel so much better and no shit side effects.

I was told that I have Bipolar by a psychiatrist that I saw when I was in high school. I think he just wanted an excuse to prescribe meds.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head... I've been on probably 4 more different anti-depressants and just about every anti-psychotic they make for about a month at least. Over the course of about 4 years, oh this one will work, I have a good feeling about it! They kept saying it, fuck them, meds are horrible.
