Actually I used buttermilk and spiced flour (allspice, celery salt, paprika, nutmeg) for the breading. It was tasty.

Also buy a deep fryer and cook them in there instead of baking. A deep fryer will be the best use of GBP in your life. Buy a two basket fryer so you can make fries or onion rings at the same time as the tendies.
