For robots who don't live at home or in a college dorm, what is your apartment like?
Who do you share it with?
I just moved in this morning to a new place and it is pretty depressing.
you should be happy man. I'm 31 and still live with my parents because I'm incredibly poor and still in university for a yew years. Having my own place seems like a fairytale to me. you should be very glad bro.
It's not my place. I'm living with two people who don't speak English very well and don't have any manners. I'm not looking for sympathy, it's just nice in a strange way to know others are in a similar position.
My mom lives with her partner so I can't move home. I'd love to quit my job and live with mom.
It used to be a garage.
It's decent, I can make music without any neighbors to bother me.
I live by myself. My apartment is mostly unfurnished. I spend most of my time on campus so it doesn't matter.
Did you apply for aid? If you're 31, in college, and want to move out you can get a ton of grants,
Hey I bought your album. It's very impressive.
I've recently read a short novel called "The Loser" by Thomas Bernhard, you may like it. It's about two aspiring pianists who become friends with Glenn Gould and become intimidated by his success and so on.
My apartment is alright. It's pretty quiet. I live downtown and my apartment over looks a fairly busy intersection so the traffic noise can get annoying, but it's still nice. I've been living here for 8 months when I started my new job. Don't think I'll stay here more than 2 years. Hoping to buy a small house somewhere nearby.
I live by myself.
Whoa, that's very nice of you, thank you. That book does sound interesting - getting intimidated by other people's talent is something every musician has to face at some point or another, even more so with the internet. I'll look for it.
lolnope, just the picture and the link
You can download it for free if you want, I don't mind
Thanks. I've also written some progressive electronic music (https://soundcloud.com/asavary/realize), black metal (https://soundcloud.com/asavary/sets/wip-ep), and neofolk (https://soundcloud.com/asavary/spires) if that's more your speed.
Wow, it's actually not shit
This is the first time that's happened from someone linking to their music on 4chan
Not really, I don't know as much about piano-based music as I'd like to. I like Dominique A however, who has worked with Yann in the past.
Sure am, he's great. Le Phare is a classic
Rene Aubry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqh1wmU_bqk - also french)
Olafur Arnalds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eWewdTkghM)
Depends if you're more into the piano stuff or the folk stuff
Nope, I don't teach piano
I know that feel. Is it the quietness / lack of knowing people / lack of nice people that causes this for you anon? It's the case for me.
Do you have any videogames to keep you occupied? That always helps.
