Fuck you. I wouldn't give my youth experience for anything. Those were the golden days of the internet. I truly had fun and no one can take that away. Now, if you didn't enjoy it while it lasted, then that's a different story.

Just start bowling or playing pool like every other middle-aged failure. It's actually quite comfy and easy to learn. With a few months of consistent practice you'll start improving greatly.

Most normies don't have any hobbies or skills either. If you spend 2 years of dedicated time to a variety of tasks, you should be able to pick up more talents than your average normie.
>>
>>25801147
most normies play a sport or an instrument well enough to validate themselves and score chicks
>>
>>25801177
You don't live in reality.
You don't have normie friends.

Most normies don't have play an instrument and quit playing sports past HS. If they still do play a sport, it's a casual thing done within their group of friends. Hell, most normies don't even do sports in HS.

All my friends who play instruments are kind of robot-tier, and the one "prodigy" guy is full on robot. He literally got pushed into a river as a kid, got an ear infection, then went deaf in his right ear. He can play music by ear and can play a shitton of instruments.

Normies get jobs and work 40 hours a week.
Normies have friends and significant others that they have to spend time on.
Normies do drugs, go to parties, raves, go eat, ect
Normies do well in school and attend often
Normies play games

The thing is, normies tend not to have any fucking time.

Not true. You may pick a hobby with which you have genuine talent. That will compensate somewhat.

Or you could throw yourself into that hobby with autistic aplomb and spend every waking moment doing it. It's not like you have anything better to do, is it?

It seems like you're just inventing excuses not to try. It was always going to take work. If you actually want something you're going to have work harder, have talent and work hard or work hard and be extremely lucky. Regardless you're going to have to work hard and if you do that you at least have a chance you will catch up in some fields.

Admittedly, some skills are probably beyond you becoming masterful in if you're starting at 25+ but even then there would be some examples of someone who did it at that age or older.

Worst thing you do with wasted time is dwell on it, it just produces more wasted time.

are spot on in many situations and for many topics on here.

Granted getting the proper mindset, self-discipline and motivation to actually do something at all to improve one's situation can be difficult to the point where it may seem fucking impossible and incomprehensibly foreign until you finally reach it, but in the end it boils down to those things.

Sadly I'm still stuck on the lack of self-discipline due to the ease of getting instant gratification through things like vidya rather than having to invest weeks/months/years worth of time to become even half proficient enough in a hobby to really to anything past the mere basics, and consistent motivation to keep at practicing as I live more of a day-to-day life due to circumstances, but dwelling on how there will always be people out there better than you however much you'll try to improve and forfeit before starting because of that, seems silly to me.

This is the hardest part, the rewards are so far away they seem intangible. I wish I had some advice for how to better approach this hurdle, because it's one I struggle with, but I think the only thing that can be done is to just keep going. I assume the ability to ignore the lack of rewards and keep persisting is what separates successful people from the unsuccessful. And a little luck, of course.

>I assume the ability to ignore the lack of rewards and keep persisting is what separates successful people from the unsuccessful.
That, and those who see the practicing of the hobby/skill/craft on its own as a reward already tend to be ones who manage to get far. The ones who have a genuine passion they're working on/with.

>This is the hardest part, the rewards are so far away they seem intangible.
This is my biggest issue as well. Although I do get a lot of enjoyment doing simple basic stuff (e.g. simply jamming improv on my bass guitar, writing simple short programs with C# to solve Project Euler problems, make simple 3D models in Maya, the list goes on) and I manage to get myself to focus on those things in between easy gratification stimuli like vidya, doing those things seem to barely improve my skill as it requires practicing new stuff, new approaches, a lot of repetition and whatnot to really improve; the dull things.
It's those plateaus where you hit a skill level and require a lot of practice before you get to a point of notable improvement again that makes becoming proficient in a skill a challenge. That's where the ability to ignore the lack of notable rewards (improvement etc), the ability to keep going regardless, and/or having a burning passion for the skill is what filters out those who don't have what it takes (yet) to get past those plateaus.

It doesn't help that to keep your skill at the highest obtained level you need to continuously use it or it'll fade over time, either.
Especially as I have way too many interests/hobbies while still spending too much time on vidya and stuff, it'd be hard getting it all to proficient levels.
Jack of All Trades, Master of None.

I don't believe you. If it is so, just go to the club or out. If you are not too fat, you will probably find love of your life and he would do everything for you.
You are a girl, then, it's easy mode, sorry.
I had a lot of female friends who are about to get married and not finish studying, cause yeah, they can and male friends have the only one option... To finish university and hope for a good job.

P.S.
Whoa, you are a gamer. You either don't know or now aware how many people like gamer girls... I was good with one that of course rejected me as any other... Still a kissless virgin, the same story as OP's, BUT university and a band, which is...hm..good

>>25805742
You either don't know or you are not aware*
>>
>>25805742
With friends, I meant people that I knew, I haven't had real friends for a long time.
>>
>>25805742
not all girls want to be a fuckdoll or a breeding cow. men have expectations of the women they "do everything for". if you're looking for true compatibility and a relationship that's not based on exchange of sex and money, it's hard for either gender.
>>
>>25805849
Ok, maybe I didn't give a good reason.
Another one.
A girl, friend of mine still, but not so close(we talk rarely), pretty ugly, not so smart, sad to say because she is a really good person, sometimes too much, a gamer. I don't know you, but for personality seems like you, from your comment (if you are girl that posted that originally). She was in a 1 year long relationship, but is really a pure robot. If I need to give a type of robot that she is, she is a mouse robot, just like me.

And yeah, if I compare male friends that I knew that are same as her and her, I can say that she is a lot in advance.
Girls rarely like a guy who is a gamer, so that is not advertising for a guy that meets a girl. Girls wouldn't like any of us guys, that have completely no experience in relationship and that are kissless virgins. And yeah, all of that guys(and me) never found any girl, and likely won't ever, and yeah, some of them are living in shithole that I come from(cause I study now in Austria) and they probably won't have a chance in life, and would have noone to financially cover them(for example). And even worst, some of them are neets and don't study.

P.S.
I didn't want to accept that it's easymode, but I simply have no arguments against it anymore. If not easymode, then surely easier then males.

Anybody else just had their sense of a hobby denied socially?
>Get into video games at 1 yrs old, master them and now love talking about them as an art piece and intricate accomplishment.
"Dude, video games aren't a hobby you autist"
>Played sport as a child, took up paper plane making and crystal collecting. Looked into Geology and Archaeology.
"Everyone was required to play a sport. Paper planes are dumb, and rock collecting is even dumber, just get a dog or something".
>Use talent in writing to create individual pieces, poems stories and eventually create entire game plots and possible projects people actually like upon overview
"Wow, stop wasting your time with that. It's not a hobby or anything, you're just writing things nobody will ever read".
>Take up books and listening to music, drew a few sketch art pieces and was pretty good. Got right into psychology, medicine, astronomy.
"I don't think books are really a hobby. You gotta make music for it to be a hobby. Oh sure, everybody's an 'artist'. You know high level psychology and philosophy, know beyond first aid procedure and can name stars? Wow, I'm soooo impressed, retard".

LET ME LIVE MY DREAM FUCK
>>
>>25805996
I had a friend that was just like me(we were friends almost whole life), or even worse. If I am a beta, he is a omega, but after years, he changed himself slowly to a normie, and it isn't fun anymore to be in a company with him. He has boring normie humor, that would be funny to me if I was 5 years old.

Anyways, he had to turn to normie to find something, and he found a really good love and we will probably never be as good friends as before. I simply know personally no people that are in a relationship and are robots. It simply doesn't exist, but I know some girls that are robots and that are in a relationship.
At least, easy mode for a relationship, but today, especially in capitalism, attractive(or maybe even not so pretty) girls can get a workplace, cause boss could like them not for their work but maybe as a future wife (or just for sex, but I am talking about normal girls).
I just can't imagine male in that situation. It would be either a fantasy or porn.
>>
>>25801019

I'm laughing pretty hard, but that's actually kinda hot
>>
>>25806139
Dude, don't listen to normies and conformist, live your life. I have a friend, that is completely a robot, makes origami, does a card tricks, always have something in pocket to make people laugh and is surely always judged by others. He simply doesn't care and lives his own life, and I appreciate him because of that.

F*** normies and conformists.

I play keyboards in a band, and was always criticized by musicians and even others, that keyboards were a stupid instrument, that I should play bass or something for a rock band...
Now everyone from that f****s are still f****s of course and are playing nowhere or in a not successful bands. I have a band that has a lot of ambition and we are like a family. I am thankful because my father said that it's best to stick to keyboards. And yeah, he was right. I enjoy it, and I won't ever stop playing it. Long live rock n roll.

So yeah, live your life anon :D
>>
>>25806139

>>
>>25806292
Thank you for the support anon.

Personally, I think the keyboard is an essential aspect of many different musical styles and can smooth out the 'barebones' type sound found in certain musical styles.

And I have given up a few of those hobbies; the crystal once and paper planes got boring, but hey I wrote the plot to an entire TV series focusing on a wheelman who moves from NY to LA, and it's NOT dumb :D

I was offered to partake in a massive rap battle thanks to my apparently hot fiya rapping skills. F**k conformists, fight the power.
