How is it a meme? I started at 16 as long as you work hard toward a goal and volunteer at several possible job locations to get experience and connections you'll be miles ahead of normal people. I had my bachelor's degree and a starting salary of 70k when I hit twenty. I mean if you're lazy with no goal then yeah college is stupid

My mom pushed me so much to go anywhere after highschool (I wanted to retake the SAT-equivalent in my country) so I ended up in a shitty rural uni working on a degree I dislike.
Of course I eventually dropped out for many reasons.

I went to college at 18. Got a degree in a shitty arts subject, nearly landed a really good 70k p/a job in Hong Kong but couldn't get the paperwork for it, ended up going into a PhD in a different shitty arts subject.

My life is a joke, but at least people think I'm smart for whatever reason.

Yes, we can get credits for basic college courses before we graduate highschool. You can start them as early as you want if you are homeschooled.

Some kids graduate Ivy league before they're 18.
