Anon this common, especially with camera phones and what not; there's always noise in the photo, the only thing I would suggest is you could get a little tripod grip thing for your camera phone or compact camera which makes the camera more steady for night shots, it wont necessarily result in less noise/grain in the photo, but they might come out better.

It was differently expensive (I'm french btw) but overall cheaper, for example

The whole trip cost me around 1600euros altogether, I could have saved ~300euros on the plane ticket but I could have paid far more on housing (I didn't pay for housing once in Kyoto)

I got the money from my dad's inheritance (I'm still a student who hasn't worked a day in his life)

I went to Tokyo / Nikko / Fujiyoshida / (skipped Nara) / Himeji / Hiroshima / Miyajima / Kyoto / left from osaka but didn't see anything

It was definitely on the cheaper side of things but we were eating out all the time for say the first 20 days while we cooked at home maybe 10 days or so, but I'm not kidding when I say food is extremely cheap over there, a decent meal at a nice restaurant costs 10 ~ 15e, while fast food (ramen, okonomiyaki, etc) is 4 ~ 7 euros to eat well (one portion is rarely enough)

We didn't do too many expensive activities, and I didn't buy many (any actually) presents though I did spend quite a bit on alcohol, aside from that monument visits are are rarely higher than 5euros but you have to pay all the time
