An easier way to be considered a success is to study influence and fuck with people's perceptions.

Not that it makes much of a difference really, after I realized perception trumps reality and everything is relative, with contentment being a carrot on a string I stopped caring so much about going from arbitrary point A to arbitrary point B. Those of us living in western society are objectively better off than the vast majority of people living in earlier times could ever hope to be regardless of how hard they tried.
