I started twice but it just lasted like 6 months both times. I got significantly stronger and had slightly larger muscles but I started from almost nothing and am 6'5" so I still wasn't anywhere near having a good looking body.

I hadn't noticed any good things coming from my lifting and I really disliked it so I slowly did it less and less until I wasn't doing it at all.

I've found looking for someone in your own city is shitty, but if you are going to continue that path, it helps to start out as friends. Just friends, just platonic, and continue building that friendship into something better. Like 80% of couples I know started out as just friends since highschool or uni. The current girl I'm with, we started out as super platonic a couple of years ago. It takes time though, as with everything. You just gotta be patient.

Of course, I'm drawing from previous experiences, and every experience is different, I get it.
