It's definitely been kind of an obsession since high school. I'm 23 and at this point the main reason I want a girlfriend is because it's something I've been constantly denied.

Cyborg here. Was a 4-year full blown robot NEET, but recently got a job, my license, and started going to the gym.

I won't get a GF though, because I've realized somewhere along the way I lost the ability to connect to someone else. I can talk with my coworkers fine, but I can't genuinely care about them. If a conversation gets any deeper than casual conversation or jokes, people quickly catch on to the fact that I'm bullshitting every word.

Luckily I don't have to be friends with coworkers, being acquaintances is enough. But for someone like a GF, I'd have to get beyond just being a robot pretending to be normal, and have genuine and real conversations, which I am incapable of doing.

I'm really fucking tired of these "sad feel when no gf" threads. I've been through a couple of relationships and I can assure you that they cause so much more pain than loneliness does.
I've been with two girls that I didn't love and things went to shit pretty fast after I realized I was being used for money or just company. If you "need" a girlfriend to be happy, you're deluding yourself. It's just a shallow perspective.

I'm honestly a total normie/chad who browses /sp/ at night at the end of the day.

I literally had a 4,000 character two part post i was about to submit here to try and talk with you guys and give you some advice, but i fucked up copy pasting it and lost half of it and got fed up with it because I'm a stupid fucking normie/chad.

Anyway, to summarize, I like you guys, I like people. I understand how a lot (not all) of you guys feel and if you guys want I'd be happy to talk honestly with you guys if you have questions, advice, thoughts, things you don't think a normie/chad would understand.
