Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (DXM HBr) is what you want and is what most people use. The only other version is DXM polistirex which is a rarer and inferior time-release version. I'm not German and I haven't used that product but I think have seen it mentioned by German dexxers before and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Read up on DXM and you should be able to tell for yourself if that product is safe/right to use

This was my process. I only did it once but it seemed to work well. I felt like I wasted very little DXM.

Soak the gel caps in water for around 10 minutes, until they are soft. Remove the now soft caps from the water.

Carefully cut the caps and let the liquid inside drain out into your collection container. Be very careful as the liquid might squirt a bit, and will get it all over your fingers/scissors no matter what you do. You don't want to waste a drop of that precious liquid so find a way to get this residue inside you one way or another. Maybe rinse your fingers/scissors in whatever tasty drink with which you intend to dilute the DXM containing liquid. Licking your fingers/scissors is also an option but that stuff tastes terrible and even burns your mouth quite a bit.

After draining a gel cap cut it in two and put it in another container. Once you have drained them all and collected the empty (and cut up!) gel caps in the new container take some of whatever drink you intend to use to dilute the DXM liquid, pour it in, and stir. This is to collect the remaining DXM as it is difficult to drain the caps completely. Don't let the empty caps sit for too long in the drink as the gel will dissolve into your drink. After stirring for a few seconds pour the liquid out (into your drinking glass I suppose).

Add the DXM goop you collected earlier to your drinking glass. Drink up and enjoy! Be careful not to dilute the DXM goop too much. You just want to make it drinkable. You do not want to consume any more liquid than is necessary so keep this in mind when you are rinsing your fingers/scissors/empty gels.

40ish time: Watched a marathon of Stargate Atlantis and reached a level of depression of milestone proportions, that this was what living and having fun had become to me. No euphoria left, just feeling like a true lifeless husk rather than a person.

Last time: Quit for a year and a half and bought Delsym for Halloween because no friends or life. Watched The Conjuring and even though it was enjoyable there was no magic left even after a 1.5 year break.

In 2015 I had an affair with MXE and realized it was 100x better than DXM but eventually started having psychotic episodes and had to quit.

The way you explained that is confusing, but let me explain this to you since you said you've never done it before.
First, you said first/second plateau if you stick to the first, which for me is about 200mg you will be functional but feel weird after 6 hours. You're not going to be able to sleep until after that 6 hours (or maybe closer to 8)With the last of the tussification leaving you by 10-12 hours
If you cross to the second plateau it's going to be a much stronger experience and leave you feeling much more drained the next day. But the trip itself will still end between 6 and 8 hours.
When I trip hard (3rd or 4th plateau) I always make sure I have nothing to do the next day, because you will sit around feeling very high all day.

So basically what I'm trying to say is you're probably going to want 12 hours at least before you go to work. More than that if you go for 3rd plateau and above. And don't plan on getting any restful sleep. Have fun!
