Alright, after a while, I'm back. It seems like we are a civilisation of Subterranean Shroom people. Noice.
>>
You awaken, mind hazy from what was more than likely the weight of sentience being thruster upon you. Around you are several other members of your people, who are as equally as confused as you are.

You are in what appears to be a vast, expansive cavern, with stalactites dangling haphazardly from the ceiling.

You have:
>d100 Myceanae people

What do you choose to focus on?

>A source of nourishment

But when they went to get the Stone, they came across something strange. A dead body. Of what seemed to be a giant spider. It was rotting, but curiously, emerging from it was what appeared to be a smaller version of your species.

They run back to notify you of this, and you order them to build a place to keep dead bodies. Gathering all the stone needed and actually building the new houses will take another 1d3 turns longer than usual. While you've got 10 Builder shrooms working on that, what do you do?

When you behold it, you wonder how something so mighty could have fallen. It's many legs lay there, limp, it several eyes milky and lifeless. The small shroom is still sprouting from it's back, still innocent to how it was made.

Having seen enough, you order a team of Five shrooms to dissect the Spider, to try and understand how it works. You also personally extract the smaller Shroom from it. As you leave though, a thought plagues you: "What could have killed something so big?"

In other news, the houses have been built! They are built right into the wall of the cavern. And right near those, is an area to examine corpses and the like.

>Research on a language has begun!

You hide in a nearby crevice, and then you see the beast... No, Monster, that killed your scouts.

Out of the tunnel, slithers a Colossal snake, with dark blue skin, and beady eyes. In it's mouth, it carries a Giant Spider, frantically trying to escape it's grip. The serpent drops the spider, then proceeds to suck the fluids out of the spider, leaving it a dry husk.

Out of the husk, crawls a White serpent thing, similar to what you found in the corpses of the Scouts. The serpent crawls into the flesh of the monster, turning the scales a darker shade of blue.

Mustering all the courage you and your troops can, you jump out, Spears in hand, and attack the Serpent!

>>1519755
We gained 33 from the vigorous masturbation. We also gained 34 from the dead Leech Viper.
>>
How much would the [I CANT NAME] spore?
>>
>>1519762
Around 10-30.
>>
Not worth it then, lets bring it back to the settlement, skin it then do sope sciencey things on it.
>>
Also, get some shroomies to explore the cave, might find somethings.
>>
>>1519768
After some consideration, you decide to bring it back to the settlement, and skin it, to seehow it works. You have the biologists cut it up, while you see if the skin can be used for anything.

It turns out to be very resistant to heat.

>Giant scale pelt gained!

LIZARD MOUNTS FOR THE LIZARD MOU- you get the fucking picture anon...
>>
Ok we'll stop at spider mounts. 8 legs good, 4 legs bad.
>>
>>1519779
They return with good news: they have found a nest of lizard eggs. You order them to take the nest back here.

>Lizard Nest gained

What to do now?

>Try to train the Lizards
>Kill them!

TRAIN THE LIZARDS! But we already have mounts....so....LIZARD TANKS!
>>
>>1519801
You order them to train the Lizards. Not as mounts, but as war beasts, akin to hunting dogs.

Event:
While a shroom was gaining nutrients, he was overcome with a vision. A spectral figure with wings appeared before him, and said that it was the reason we came from dead things. Ever since, the shroom has been building up a cult around this figure. The question is, what do you do about it?

>Let it thrive, and partake in it's activities.
>Eliminate it.
>>
Mistress Death>No Sexy Primordial Force

Join the cult!
>>
>>1519818
You decide to join the cult of what is known as Malkooth, goddess of death. From death cometh life, and from life cometh death!

>Your civilisation has converted to Malkooth!

>Expand Housing
>Set up place of worship

Mine, we can worship afterwords
>>
>>1519833
You order your miners to start getting more Iron, for both military and industrial purposes. However, they don't just find that, they find several glimmering purple stones.

>Found Amnethysts!

Seeing this as a sign from Malkooth, as purple is a colour ascossiated with her, you order your builder shrooms to construct a place of worship around the Corpse pit.

>Church of Malkooth ready in 1d3 turns.

What now?

>Test out scale pelt

Test out the [NogawYssup] scale pelt
>>
>>1519850
Seeing the potential of the Gonawyssup's pelt, you decide to subject it to more heat. You then take some stone cut in a circle, stretch the pelt over it, and see if it still works. It succeeds, and you give all these to all your troops.

>Shields have been invented!

On another note, the Church of Malkooth has been built around the corpse pit! You now attend a regular preaching, along with the rest of the village, there.

What now?

>Scout
>Improve Housing

>>
Lets improve housing. I was thinking something along the lines of a gigantic crypt city (think Necrontyr homeworld planet)
>>
>>1519862
You order your builders to improve upon the housing. They are elevated out of the wall, and become engraved with all sorts of imagery of Malkooth.

>Housing improved! You can house up to 300 Shrooms!

>>
>>1519929
Your scouts manage to find a strange, ashy powder, and when it is headed, it makes a fiery bang! You also find a new entrance to "The pool of dread" as some are calling it.

What now?

>Research Gunpowder
>Even BETTER housing
>Write in
>>
Research gunpowder and send a Cult Priest to the Pool, rename to the pool of [God] if possible.
>>
>>1520009
You experiment with the powder even MORE, learning that if you leave it by somewhere then heat it, it blows up, and could be used as a weapon.

>Gunpowder basics researched!

Meanwhile, the Priest travels to the Pool of Dread, and renames it "The Holy Pool of Malkooth" . Even then however, he couldn't help but still feel unnerved by it...

>Pool sanctified!

What now?
>>
Have Gunpowder research continue whilst you take a squad of your best men to the pool.
>>
>>1520056
You continue research on the Powder. You've found that you can place it in small iron capsules, light them, then throw them, at which point they explode!

>You've learnt how to make mini-grenades!

You decide it's high time to see what's wrong with the pool. Upon entering, knowing that is has been blessed by Malkooth, your resolve improves. Loudly, you yell a challenge to whatever is causing such feelings of dread.

The water begins to distort, and out of the centre, rises a humanoid figure, with the head of an octopus.

In your mind you hear the words "GET OUT TRESSPASSERS!"

What do you do?

Since the pool its standing in was blessed, we can assume that its a herald/effigy of Malkooth, so it should be safe to communicate.

Rolling for 100
>>
Rolled 7 (1d100)

Lel got bugged
>>
>>1520081
>>1520089
You gesture for your troops to stand down. "Creature, we have no wish to harm this sacred site" you reason. "Then... What you doing here, Myceanae?" It asks, confused. "We simply seek to know what you are and why your prescience causes my men such stress" It gives a blank look, then relaxes. "I am a guardian of this sacred pool, appointed by Lady Malkooth herself. The aura of dread I give is to ward of would-be heretics."

How do you respond to this?
>>
"Indeed? My people and I are loyal to Lady Malkooth, to meet a divine emissary as yourself is truly Inspiring! Who are you, faithful servant?"

Afterwards respond with "What purpose has Mistress blessed this pool with?"
>>
>>1521404
"Indeed? My people are loyal to Lady Malkooth, and to meet a divine servant of her is... Inspiring. What is your name?" The being takes on an entire new demeanour. "Fellow servants of our Deathly mistress? If that's the case, my name is Shrayum'ptar, Herald of Malkooth."

"What blessing has our mistress blessed this pool with?" It takes on sombre look. "This is the gate in which the souls of my ladies followers go through to be reborn. Many have tried to enter, but none have succeeded, due to yours truly."

Interesting. How do you respond?
>>
Lets not fight him yet. See if we can build a Malkooth Temple at the site (ask him first) so more shrooms get converted
>>
>>1521449
You nervously ask "My Lord, would it be an affront to Malkooth if we were to build a temple to her greatness here?"

The Herald looks contemplative for a while, then looks directly at you. "I am unsure. I will seek permission from our lady myself. However, if at any time while I am gone, a single one of you attempts to enter the pool..." He glares at you threateningly "It will be the last mistake any of you will ever make." He then disappears into the murky depths.

What now?
>>
Send 2 of our shrooms back to gather our priests and tell them thr good news, then get them all to come here
>>
>>1521473
You order 2 of the Warriors to run back to the village as fast as they could! They arrive shortly, with the Priest. "By Malkooth my son, we are at one of the holiest sites in the entire cave! When will this Herald be back?" You tell him that you have no idea.

Suddenly, the ripples appear, and Shrayum'ptar returns! "My mistress gives her permission for you to build a temple here." Loud cheers erupt from the crowd. "However" he continues, "You must bring the corpse of every 5th Monster you slay."

Do you accept these terms?
>>
Gladly accept, then ask him how the pool works
>>
>>1521532
You gladly accept his terms, and thank him and Malkooth for their generousity. Before you go, you ask him how the Pool works.

"In simple terms, the spirits of the dead come here and wait. I then rise out of the water, and take them down with me. In complete truth this entire pool is a portal to Malkooth's realm, in which servants of her like me can enter though and leave at will."

You thank Shrayum'ptar for his goodwill, and leave for the village.

What now?
>>
Gotta go for tonight, will be back for tommorow.
>>
Start research into ranged gunpowder-based weapons
>>
>>1521575
You decide to work further on gunpowder. The engineers make steel tube which the pellets of gunpowder could be blown out of.

>Blowing Tube unlocked!

What Now?
>>
Start scouting, send out shrooms in groups of 3, 1 melee, 2 guns.
>>
>>1523601
You want more knowledge of the area. You send the scouts out in those exact numbers. Roll 1d100 to see how well it goes.
>>
Rolled 100 (1d100)

Lets go
>>
>>1523614
The scouts are incredibly lucky, for they have found a new civilisation! It is a race of Bat people, living in the highest parts of the cave. They seem to be fairly unadvanced.

What do you do about this?

>Kill them. You are the dominant species!
>Help his nascent civilisation along. Who knows how they could repay you?
>Write in
>>
How advanced?
>>
>>1523628
They're at "still eating their own poop" level.
>>
Lets enslave the shit out of them. Kill all the elderly and chain the rest down with weights. Time to start some Mayan Malkooth Worship.
>>
>>1523657
You take all your troops, and walk up to their area. They show a form a distress, as they should. "Where is the elder of this place!" You bellow. A wizened, strange looking Bat person hovers up to you. Using your Spear, you stab right through him.

Shortly afterwards, you have enslaved the entire settlement!

>You now have 15 Kyropteran slaves!

What do you use them for?
>>
Get started on slave pens and assign some shrooms to be slave trainers and break them in at...any...cost...necessary
>>
>>1523671
You order the builders to build pens for the slaves to be kept in, using minimal resources. In the meantime, you order the more sadistic of the shrooms to break the slaves, at any cost.

You don't know how they were broken, but all you know is it involved a lot of screaming.

>Slave pens built!
>Slaves have been broken!

What now?
>>
Rolled 35 (1d100)

Get the slaves started on mining and have some mushrooms start scouting again, rolling 1d100 premptively
>>
>>1523690
As soon as the slaves are ready, you put them to work mining. Them come back with a bounty of Iron and Amnethyst.

>+10 Amnethyst and Iron!

You send the Scouts out again. They return with another nest of Giant Spiders, giving you opportunity for more Cavalry.

What now?
>>
Wew...Such luck.
Ok time for rapid expansion, get as many shrooms as possible (excluding workers) to scout solo in all directions. Their orders are to run at the first sign of contact. Have the slaves dick deeper, we need more resources for our crypt world.
>>
>>1523697
You decide it's time for rapid expansion. You send every single one of your warriors in every direction, to scout out anything new. They are to return at the first sign of contact.

You order the slaves to dig even deeper. They end up finding a shiny, pretty looking metal, that you thing may be useful.

>You have discovered Gold!

The scouts all return. Oh, the things they have found! One found a giant mineral deposit, while another found the dead body of a Leech Viper. One found what may have been an entrance to one of those runic walls, and another found more Kryoptera!

>You now have several different opportunities for where you can go and what you can do!

Which do you explore first?
>>
1. Miners to tunnel to deposit
2. Have a squad of 5 bring the body back for rapid sporification
3. Have the priests go to the rune walls with a detachment of 2 guardsmen
4. Bring the bulk of our upgraded soldiers to enslave the pre-slaved bat slaves. Slaughter the elderly and sick by carting them back to Necrontyr and pushing them into our spartan pit.
>>
Also, have our OG shroom start the architecture for our base. Should look like the pic i posted above.

Also OP we should remake this thread soon, should have enough content here already to stay bumped.

Remake in 3 turns or so?
>>
>>1523722
You give a series of orders. 1. You order the miners to got through the deposit and to mine it for everything it has. 2. You order a squad of 5 troops to bring back the Leech Viper's corpse. Can never be too careful with those things. 3. You send the priest to the entrance of the wall. And 4. You personally accompany some soldiers to where the Kryoptera are.

You slaughter the elderly and sick ones and promptly spore them, and take the rest as slaves.

> +20 Kryoptera Slaves!

The Leech Viper is fully sported, and 20-40 Shrooms should come from it.

The miners return with all their arms full with hundreds of metals and gems, all of which are useful.

At the wall, the priest entered. What he found, were some short, humanoid creatures with long beards drinking alcohol. He could see no purpose in interrupting them.

>New civilisation discovered: Dwarfs!

What now?
>>
>>1523726
Ok, will remake then.
>>
We need those dwarfs sapient and intelligent to help boost our tech level. Lets have another discussion with our resident pool demon and offer some of the bat slaves as tribute. (Looking for thralls)
>>
>>1523742
Deciding it was time to have another talk with your resident pool demon, you make the trip to it, along with 10 Kryoptera slaves. As you arrive, the familiar ripples start to appear in the water, as Shrayum'ptar arises.

"Back again so soon, Myceanea?" He asks. "What do you have for me?" "We come bearing gifts. As tribute to your and Malkooth's greatness, we give you these 10 slaves." You bring the slaves forward. Shrayum'ptar eyes them. "You enslaved Kryoptera? Hmmm... Well don't expect any favours from the God of night, which is all I will say." The Slaves start shivering, then they suddenly drop dead. Their bodies are then absorbed into the pool.

"My lady will thank you for this." He says.

What now?
>Question him about the god of the night.
>Leave.
>>
Question.

"Our most venerated lady is worshipped with due piety throughout our lands. However, some start to doubt her power and divinity. We loyal Mycanea humbly request that she use her unquestioned power to show these unbelievers the err of their way."

"Oh? What exactly do you have in mind?"

"There are a group of dwarves just a few Ttyers(shroom miles) east of these sacred waters. They dare pray to a false diety! Their puny god of dwarves and mining has questioned the most feeble in our faith....it would be fitting for the Irrefutable God of Death to enslave these heretics and kill their false god, no?"
>>
We should remake before we go apeshit on the dwarves.
>>
>>1523750
You question him. "My lord, our most venerated lady is worshipped with due piety in our lands. However, we Myceanea have noticed that some do not pay her respect, and request to silence these heretics."

"Oh? And who are you planning to silence?" He asks. "You see, there is a hold of Dwarfs a few Tyters away from this holy site, and they venerate their pathetic god of smiths and mining above her! Would it not be a holy action to destroy it's monuments, and to enslave his followers?"

He pauses, and then gives you an inscrutable look. "If you wish to wage war in her name, then do so. However, if you desire a more peaceful solution, could you not just ask them to worship her alongside their God? Whatever the case, if you DO attack them, then I will assist you in any way I can."

How do you reply?
>>
Attack them, TO WAR!

But first we cut away to remake. Remember stat sheet.
