So why is there no /fur/ board?
Everybody said that if furries were allowed to post that it would kill the site, but they could post on /b/ and they never hurt anyone.
Then they said that if they were allowed to post off of /b/ that it would kill the site, but then /trash/ was made, and we're still here.
I'm starting to think that this whole "no furries" rule is pretty pointless.
Simply because of the absolute shitstorm it would create with non-furries. /trash/ was a way to subtly add a furry board without the biggest shitposters actually noticing that a furry board was added.
>anti-furry shitposters are more annoying than furries ever were
this is what you're doing with your life
writing terrible bait and jacking off to dogs
this is it, your one chance. this is all you get
I wonder if this hate against furries is just a weeaboo thing. A "rivalry" from an older era, perhaps?
The only difference between weeaboos and furries is the fur. Everything else is the same. The fandom, the costume play, the hug pillows, the waifus, the fetish aspect of it... It's the same thing and maybe that's why weeaboos hate furries? It's like seeing yourself in the mirror and realizing how ugly you really are.
Older furfag here. SomethingAwful has a lot to do with it, but many people hate furries because they're thin-skinned, prone to drama and they post furry art in places it doesn't belong.
They're worse. Furries are also incredibly defensive. You can instantly trigger them by saying that they're all sexual deviants who have sex in fursuits.
Or at least you could during the Burned Fur days. Furries on 4chan would probably just reply to that with a porn dump.
Why is anime still allowed on 4chan? Now that 4chan exists entirely as a discussion board for things you can't talk about on reddit, all the boards that have equivalent subreddits should be deleted and their topics permanently banned
I'm not OP, I'm not really pushing for a fur-board. Just pointing out a few similarites between these people.
Also, look at g.e-hentai and various boorus. Hentai and furry-porn side by side.
The situation with /trash/ is only """"""""""""""""""""""""acceptable"""""""""""""""""""""""" while the board stays unlisted and largely unpalatable to a decent amount of furries. At the moment it's actually fairly limited in its potential to attract new users, which was most people's main concern in the first place.
It's still a moot point if you're actually using /trash/ as an example of anything other than exactly what the rest of this site aught to avoid becoming at all costs.
There was a /fur/ but moot had a burning hatred for furries so he deleted the board and permanently banned everyone who browsed it. He did not want 4chan identified with furries because it spreads like wild fire.
Because 4chan was and still is an Anime website, all those non Anime related boards were created so Anime fans could talk about things other than Anime but it attracted retards like you.
Normalfags are the Muslims of 4chan.
yeah, the porn is pretty harmless, a boner's a boner.
furry porn = ok, and even fairly par-for-the-course on this site.
fursonas and the wider fandom = a genuine cultural influence that a majority here would rather be without.
>Because 4chan was and still is an Anime website, all those non Anime related boards were created so Anime fans could talk about things other than Anime
4chan hasn't been an anime website in years. Going off board traffic, /a/ is barely even in the top 5 boards, and after /a/ none of the other weeb boards even make a blip on the radar.
Population does not dictate how a website works.
It was created for Anime, Manga, Japanese culture and it it is still used for Anime, Manga and Japanese culture.
It still fulfills it original purpose.
If youtube suddenly allowed porn, it does not mean youtube becomes a porn site.
No doubt the porn would quickly become the majority but it still does not make it a porn site. The most popular videos on youtube was girls kissing, lets plays probably took over.
Been here a couple of years and I am sorry I do not partake in your dank internet maymays but what does Jews have to do with our argument, are you from /pol/?
You're still the Muslims of 4chan though, you are invading, distributing the native population and trying to get the rules to cater to yourselves because your population grew a noticeable amount.
>/a/utists actually believe this meme
if this website had to delete one board /a/ would be more deserving of deletion than /v/ at this point, you're worse than /pol/ as far as trying to claim/ruin other boards through shitposting goes seeing as how now /d/ is dead because of this retarded mentality
westacuck from /v/ detected. Actually idiot /co/ wanted an /aco/ board for the longest time. The mods just royally fucked it up beyond belief by forcing all western art off of /d/ and making it into a seemingly futa only board. It killed the community big time and it ruined what /aco/ was supposed to be: A porn board for western art that wasn't fetish related. /aco/ didn't want /d/ shit on /aco/ at all, but the mods started banning people and deleting their threads who dared to criticize how they handled things. Notice how Hiro hasn't responded to this. I think the mods are purposely trying to not get exposed for intentionally ruining /d/, probably as their little joke of pissing off the fanbase, and even more likely their still resonating anger at Hiro for taking away their admin powers moot probably promised he'd give them/
We do not claim or ruin other boards, most people from /a/ stay on /a/. Just because someone posts anime does not mean they are from /a/. /v/ has a large anime fanbase that is rejected by /a/ and there has always been popular among shitposters to visit /a/, save images and then shitpost with them on other boards.
Adding onto this one important thing: It should be noted in his announcement last year that moot said he was giving power over to "The Team" aka the retarded mods while moot would still own the site. The mods I bet seemingly thought they were now in charge of 4chan and could do whatever they wanted, thus explaining the massive increase in shitposting last year and the seemingly shit moderation on certain boards like /v/, /tv/, /int/, /g/, /pol/ and /r9k/. The mods I bet didn't realize moot was selling the site to Hiro, and that pissed them off since they were getting demoted back to mods.
So now these mods are trying to run even more rampant than ever before. They hate Hiro and we all know it
I still vote for board specific mods. /a/ has mods who love but we also have mods who hate it, plus for people who don't browse /a/ or know nothing about anime it can be hard to tell if something is a shitpost or not.
I like Hiro, he seems to be trying at least. I liked Moot too but for a long time he still had the mindset of early 4chan and then just gave up once he realized 4chan could not be like that again.
Hiro hasn't done shit about the mods though. The mods are a massive problem on this site and they need to be either chastised by him and step up and stop acting like children like swaglord does, or they simply put, need to go.
Hello, you must be new here fellow anon! Allow me to explain a bit about this site's culture and it's relevance to what you just read and were confused by. I was partaking in a common tradition of this website you'll surely soon experience yourself known as "greentexting," in this case to signify that I disagreed with the post I was replying to by condescendingly strawmanning their argument and implying that they themselves were not particularly intelligent in holding such a position. However, greentexting is also used for other site traditions, such as the famous storytelling format of "greentext stories" wherein a story is told through a series of disjointed statements using the aforementioned green-text-adorned quote function. Now, you might ask, why would one seemingly deliberately misuse the quote function of this website when there are other perfectly valid ways of posting? What practical advantage could it possibly have? Well honestly, no one truly knows the answer, but that familiar and comforting emerald green is something that you'll often encounter in using this imageboard and is an integral part of its culture. Hopefully I have cleared up your confusion and you'll be able to happily partake in this beautiful part of the ever-evolving community that is 4chan yourself.
Hiros more worried about what the userbase wants.Problem is 4chan as a whole cannot agree on anything, boards on a whole cannot agree on something either.
If you get rid of a mod that most people hate you may upset others.
The weeaboos (many mods are weebs too) are to blame. They are the ones who insist on keeping western and eastern porn separate here.
Just look at g.e-hentai and various boorus. Hentai, western porn and furry-porn side by side. It's not a problem there. For some reason it's problem here. Blame the autistic 4chan-weeaboos.
/k/ was pretty much the go to furry board along with /b/ until /trash/ was created.
