It wasn't exactly a meme, it was an "epic thread screencap". I just made a thread, everyone believed it and I did the screencap myself. Everyone saved it and posts it.
It still gets posted about daily on various sites such as 9fag, funnyjunk etc.

That's actually a pretty good idea. People like those types of screencaps but they're usually too lazy to make them themselves. It also explains why those screencaps pop up from time to time for a completely pedestrian thread.

Back when /v/ had daily 4 am threads I remember seeing other people posting the 4amheman.jpg screencap that I usually post at the beginning of every thread for whatever reason.
