Many people on 4chan are addicted to porn. It is literally tearing our lives apart. I've seen nofap threads in /trash/, /int/, /pol/, /r9k/, /sci/ and even /v/. The problem is that they are so easily accessible, we come to 4chan for all kinds of things and these boards are a click away. I wasted 4 FUCKING HOURS browsing the whole of /d/, /aco/, /gif/ and /hc/ yesterday.
Hiro I know you like freedom of speech and shit but please just delete these porn boards. Or set up a new site called 4cum or something and move the boards there. Implement harsher bans for those who post porn in blue boards. I hate browsing /int/ and coming across a picture of a Brazilian tranny. The only people who would oppose this are betas and NEETs who need this the most out of everyone, and fatass /pol/tard redditors obsessed with muh free speech even though they have jack shit to say.
Please Hiro, delete the porn boards. swaglord if you're reading this, I think the porn boards need to be made "nice".
That doesn't help, I just go to my phone then. The urge is especially bad when I'm sitting on the toilet. I tried editing the hosts file but then said "fuck it" like a faggot.
There are so many better places for porn, I don't know why these porn boards are still here. Not to mention it'd be cheaper to run 4chan, and serious businesses would want to advertise here.
It would take the destruction of 4chan for the porn boards to get deleted. While on the subject of porn:
I do believe porn should be banned from /b/. Porn is one of the main reasons /b/ is so... well, bad right now. So many people see it as another porn board now. New people will come, they'll see the porn, and think to themselves: "Oh look, this must be where people go for porn". /b/ is supposed to have everything on it, but when most of the board is used as a dump for porn, something isn't right. I hardly ever look at /b/, and still it bothers me that a board is being (somewhat) misused so badly, and that so many boards go unutilized because of it.
>fatass /pol/tard redditors
OP has admitted that they have a problem and are looking for help. OP also believes that others may have the same problem and could use the same help.
OP is making the mistake of assuming that 4chan removing its pornography would help and that OP wouldn't then just go to Danbooru or Exhentai or some "real life" porn website I wouldn't know the name of because I don't go to those.
Porn addiction is a hoax, like all psychological "addictions."
There's no such thing as an "addiction" to a habit. Addiction is a physical phenomenon caused by chemical dependency within the body. Your "addiction" to porn is just you having an incredibly weak will and finding something to blame other than yourself because that's easier than owning up to your shittiness.
And like all people who externalize blame you want to punish everyone else for your own weakness. Fuck off.
OP was expressing that the opinions of /pol/ users, who they are claiming all use reddit as well, view 4chan as a place where they can post whatever they want (even though porn is forbidden from /pol/).
"Porn Addiction" is a colloquial term for "Porn Obsession" and "Porn Compulsion" that you must admit are real things. You don't completely control your mind and your willpower can become tired and fatigued. Sometimes you can accidentally train your brain to try to cheer you up with things you wish you didn't like so much when you get sad or bored.
Consider all of the words you just posted and if you've used all of those correctly. Is removing porn really going to "punish everyone" Anon? No. Punishment means something else from the way you used it metaphorically. Other people are allowed to use metaphors too. I have the utmost respect for you and everything you MEANT to say, but you need to stop getting hung up on the particular words people use. Language evolves. OP didn't say "I have a chemical addiction to the substance pornography." They said "I have a porn addiction" and "Porn Addiction" is a well understood term.
>/pol/ is, to my knowledge, the only red board that forbids "Pornography"
My point is that you still see naked people on /pol/ all the time because we know the difference between simple nudity and the beauty of the human form vs. actual pornography meant for sexual gratification.
And no I'm not talking about the kuk spammers, that's different.
>"Porn Addiction" is a colloquial term for "Porn Obsession" and "Porn Compulsion" that you must admit are real things
Obsession I will buy, compulsion is horseshit. There's nothing compelling you to look at porn. You just want to, then give in because you have no will power.
A word about obsessions though: they're very rare. Many people who claim to be "obsessed" by something are actually not. It's just a habit they have and they're too weak to break it. Let me give you a picture of what porn obsession looks like:
>90% of free time is spent looking at and hoarding pornography
>even at work you look at porn as much as you can
>if you have any other hobbies they are usually related to porn somehow
>you find it hard to concentrate on anything that isn't porn for very long
That's what an obsession is like, something that takes over your life. Not being able to resist looking at some digital titties isn't an obsession. You're part of this millennial craze of exaggerating your problems then self diagnosing so you don't have to own your own fuck ups.
