There are so many better places for porn, I don't know why these porn boards are still here. Not to mention it'd be cheaper to run 4chan, and serious businesses would want to advertise here.

I do believe porn should be banned from /b/. Porn is one of the main reasons /b/ is so... well, bad right now. So many people see it as another porn board now. New people will come, they'll see the porn, and think to themselves: "Oh look, this must be where people go for porn". /b/ is supposed to have everything on it, but when most of the board is used as a dump for porn, something isn't right. I hardly ever look at /b/, and still it bothers me that a board is being (somewhat) misused so badly, and that so many boards go unutilized because of it.

OP is making the mistake of assuming that 4chan removing its pornography would help and that OP wouldn't then just go to Danbooru or Exhentai or some "real life" porn website I wouldn't know the name of because I don't go to those.

Porn addiction is a hoax, like all psychological "addictions."

There's no such thing as an "addiction" to a habit. Addiction is a physical phenomenon caused by chemical dependency within the body. Your "addiction" to porn is just you having an incredibly weak will and finding something to blame other than yourself because that's easier than owning up to your shittiness.

Consider all of the words you just posted and if you've used all of those correctly. Is removing porn really going to "punish everyone" Anon? No. Punishment means something else from the way you used it metaphorically. Other people are allowed to use metaphors too. I have the utmost respect for you and everything you MEANT to say, but you need to stop getting hung up on the particular words people use. Language evolves. OP didn't say "I have a chemical addiction to the substance pornography." They said "I have a porn addiction" and "Porn Addiction" is a well understood term.

My point is that you still see naked people on /pol/ all the time because we know the difference between simple nudity and the beauty of the human form vs. actual pornography meant for sexual gratification.

Obsession I will buy, compulsion is horseshit. There's nothing compelling you to look at porn. You just want to, then give in because you have no will power.

A word about obsessions though: they're very rare. Many people who claim to be "obsessed" by something are actually not. It's just a habit they have and they're too weak to break it. Let me give you a picture of what porn obsession looks like:
