Basically, Net Neutrality rapes the customers in order to help the ISPs. Now that they can't "discriminate", why put more money into bigger websites, when they can just chain the bigger sites down to save costs through Net Neutrality? It's a win for them either way, it's just Net Neutrality is a bigger win and is a shit on the consumers.

The massive websites need more space right? That's why they have servers. What I care about when it comes to net neutrality is about is the undiscriminated connection between an internet user and a website, not necessarily in terms of speed, but protection from ISPs attempting to block their users from visiting websites the ISP doesn't like. Sure, everyone gets put into a "slow lane," but that wasn't really my point. Google is not a good example to use, they have far transcended being the simple search engine they were 15 years ago, and they have for a while been building their own fiber optic lines.

But without regulations protecting the internet, the ISPs can get away with throttling websites, outright censorship of what they don't like, and sell "website packages" much the same way you would pay extra for channel packages on top of what you would pay for cable TV.

Imagine Netflix. If net neutrality didn't exist, then the ISP would purposely throttle it to make it almost unusable in order to jew their customers into paying extra for a "netflix/hulu bundle" on top of what the customer pays for internet in the first place and the almost $10 a month Netflix charges.

If people are upset about their ISP, most of the time they can't simply choose another one, as there is often just one ISP in their town or city.
