>Syrian Army scores huge advance against ISIL in east Hama
BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), resumed their assault against the Islamic State (ISIL) forces in central Syria, Monday, striking the latter’s positions south of Ithriya.

Led by their Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies stormed the Kharaeb Al-Katnah area of northeast Hama, resulting in a fierce battle that lasted for a few hours on Monday.

The Syrian Arab Army and their allies were able to liberate the Kharaeb Al-Katnah area and near Al-Ruwayj, putting their forces at the outskirts of Bir Hasiyah, which is located 15km south of Ithriya.
According to a military source, at least ten Islamic State militants were killed during the Syrian Arab Army’s assault today.

Bir Hasiya is an imperative area that is located just south of the Ithriya-Sheikh Hilal Road in northeast Hama.

I think she is a monarchist, but the main reason she likes the Tsar so much is that he has been made a saint by the Orthodox Church, and Natalia is extremely religious. Also, that pic is from her protesting a film called 'Matilda' which is about the Tsar having an affair with a ballée dancer (which didn't happen).

Apparently her office is filled with religious (Orthodox) ornaments

>Lebanese security forces crackdown on ISIL cell near Syrian border
BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:15 P.M.) – The Lebanese Internal Security Forces arrested two Islamic State members in the eastern part of the country, Monday, after cracking down on a terror cell in the ‘Arsal Municipality.

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), “the ISF intelligence branch arrested two people, one Lebanese and one Syrian, whose confessions led to the arrest of two other Syrians forming a Daesh logistics cell in the Wadi Khaled region of northern Lebanon.”

“The detainees admitted during the interrogation the charges that were pointed against them, especially the charge of facilitating illegal passage of terrorists from Lebanon to Syria to join the ranks of terrorist organization,” the NNA report claimed.
This latest bust comes just days before the Lebanese Army restarts their offensive in the nearby Ras Ba’albak region of the Beqa’a Governorate.

The Czar was actually fairly popular in Russia. The Bolsheviks, like the Jacobins before, were weird atheists who hated the monarch. The whole reason pogroms began in Russia were peasant mobs avenging regicide at the hands a Jew.
>>
>>137406005

Why do I think they are?

They are called paratroopers in various sources.

It doesn't take very long to train someone on the rope set up they use to train parachutists, teach them how to land and so on.

How many parachute operations were completed by the British parachute regiment in Afghanistan or Iraq? I bet absolutely zero yet they are still called the parachute regiment and as conflict has evolved they have become special forces lite.
>>

They sure look a lot different than normal SAA. For example: Everybody is waering the same Helmet and other personal equipement.

But i bet that some "advisors" from the VDV were also taking part in this operation. Ka 52 choppers were providing cover.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:35 P.M.) – The Islamic State’s (ISIL) reign of terror is not quite over in Iraq, as their terrorists carried out another heinous execution in the Kirkuk Governorate.

Earlier this month, the terrorist group executed man inside the town of Al-Huwaijah after accusing him of practicing ‘sorcery.’

ISIL’s official media, Al-‘Amaq, released images of the execution this past weekend, showing the horrible scene from the beheading that had children attend it.

They were send from the enclave to aleppo in exchange for other rebels and familys from another pocked(can't remember which one). The deal was mainly pushed by hez and iran.
Apperantly the lured the children with snacks when the svbied drove into the gathering.

Hey /sg/?
What were your views when this war started to break out in 2011?
Did you all initially support the rebels or did it take you a few years?
I remember believing that Assad used chemical weapons in 2013 and hoping that America would bomb them. How foolish I was...
The first few years, I would see Islamists appear and I would think, well, most of them are still good, and they are fighting for freedom. Around late 2014 I thought the situation was hopeless for Syria, I understood that the rebels were terrible, but I still that Assad was a dictator. It wasn't until 2015 that I realised that he is a good leader. i started browsing /sg/ 6 or so months ago.

I didn't really pick a side in Syria, but I was a Qaddafi supporter in Libya. For some time afterward I regretted not going to fight, but eventually I came to terms with the fact I had zero skills back then and NATO would have probably killed me.

Yeah - but children crying over their suddenly mutilated parents after being told they were going to a safe place... flippin' hell, now I just feel like crying and I'm at work.

The absolute worst for me though was from Libya; parents taking their little girl to the doctors, her jaw was blown away with her tongue hanging down but she was still quite alert and scared. Similar age as my own daughter.

i was more pro rebel but mostly i was rather ignorant and didn't really care about anything. Libya was kinda meh for me and ukraine was kinda meh. I saw the pictures and even saw some moto vids but it wasn't really hiting me. On liveleak there was more and better vids about syria.
Watching this video gave me the final redpill
>pic related
after that i informed me more and more about syria and other conflicts and media bs in general.

Firstly in start of clash on 2011, I Believe that Assad was Scary Ebil Dictators..
Then, when my Cousins who came back from Damascus in Late 2012, change my view about Syria & Assad..
The saddest thing was I believes Gaddafi was Ebil and glad when he died, but I change that in late 2012 too. I'm Sorry Gaddafi, I Miss you So Much.
In Libya Revolt, MSM & West spread many false propaganda, yet majority of People in the world believe that because "Fake News" word wasn't exist in that time.

there is one pic where you see a dead child hanging out the window of the bus with some dead children and parents on the ground and in the bus.
Also the mother who screams the akbars and when she see the dead child on the ground you hear how it is breaking her heart and her akbars just sound like a sob of pein

No, never supported the rebels. Held some sympathy to the actual secular protesters, but realised fast that the majority forces were going to be jihadists and their ilk.

Thought Arab spring something as really wanted by the people. Became suspicious when the US supported Arab spring movements in North Africa region and Syria but was against it in Gulf countries. Supported Ghaddafi, wasnt sure about Assad. Euro Maidan was the tipping point though. started researching the similarities in all these events, the proxy war and the whole geopolitical scenario after this event.

Nope, i did like history back then and what i knew from history is that rebellions most of the time just fuck shit up
>>
>>137413347
I've never supported the rebels and since I started studying the conflict I quickly came to the conclusion that Assad is the only realistic choice. Anything else would mean prolonged chaos and potentially genocide. I don't think he's particularly good leader but he's the only choice realistically because of the fucked up nature of M-E politics. I'm also convinced the government has used chemical weapons incl. sarin.
