>and there is no basis to say he was planning to fight for liberation of Morocco
He presided the comittee of liberation for the Maghreb in Egypt, senpai. The only reason he fought for independence was because the rest of the maghreb was already pretty much pacified in terms of territory, leaving only terrorist/insurgency attacks in the kingdom. The rif was the only region left because the Spanish were incompetent, unlike the French, at subduing the region early on.

>leaks state he has been heavily abused which os to no surprise knowing the moroccan system

>the Rif republic flag has evolved to become a symbol of the rif people carrying ot has nothing to do with separation.
The flag, as well as the anthem of the rif, weren't used much by Khattabi himself. They were only formalities in order to formalize the Rif Republic's potential entry into the League of Nations. There is no reason to see it as any "symbol of the rif people", especially when it existed for 6 years when the land's history long before the republic and after was Morocco. It wasn't a particularly happy time either: I don't see it as anything but wishful WE WUZ-thinking, as if Riffians are unique people, or separatist claims.

Moroccans and Algerians are basically the same people. Tunisians are more Mashreq-influenced but they definitely still lean towards Maghreb. Libya is a mix of arab and berber influence but it doesn't really have a high population compared to the rest, so the impact is less noticeable. It plays the role of a link between Maghreb and the Levant.
Core berber maghreb is Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria. Maghreb as a geopolitical and cultural entity extends to Mauritania to the south and Libya to the east, although the former is a bit of an oddball and doesn't really matter in any way. (as in, literally nobody hears of Mauritania or anything that happens there.)

Catalonia is trying to hold an independence referendum. Spain is refusing to let them do it. Catalonian gov't announced if they're not allowed to do it, they'll default on their debt

If that occurs, Spain crashes. Spain may crash anyways, They've already issued €34.2 billion of bonds during the first six months of 2017, compared to the €30.7 billion issued during the whole year 2016.

>When he introduced his own currency established a government and ran the rif republic even seneing ambassador to europe he laid out no plan to liberate Morocco nor any indication he had such a plan in mind
Literally nobody used the rif money. Spanish pesetas were the actual currency used in the republic. Anyway, how the fuck could he plan to "liberate Morocco" when he had struggle holding his own fucking mountains?

>we are talking about its present use
I'm saying that it historically had no cultural symbolism in the region except by the very few MUH PANBERBERISM faggots that exist in Kabylia until the protests happened... the vast majority of these flags were made during May and June in Netherlands

Who are "the people of the rif"? At the very most 100k retarded protesters out of 3 million people living in the region? I come from the rif, senpai. The country consists of Nouakchott (capital, tiny and overcrowded on the edge of the desert where a million people live) and a bunch of villages built around mines. The rest is just open desert everywhere. Their coast is shitty and rocky so they don't even have nice beaches. The people are pretty poor, it's mixed between arabs and subsaharians, they have sharia law, and it's the only country where slavery is completely widespread (between 4 and 20% of the population may be slaves).

Everyone pretty much just ignores Mauritania. Good thing there's a wall between us and them. Also mines. Tons of mines.

>they're trying to erase our culture. out schools can't teach in catalan anymore, it has to be in official spanish
booohoooo spanish just tried to standardize speech and writing, just like France did in the 18th century. The dictatorship might have gone a bit over their heads with it, but now they're completely free to speak their language, if they learn their country's language.

>we're way richer than the rest of spain, meaning they mooch off of us while refusing us our culture
They're rich because of tourism in the city of Barcelona and nothing more. The rest of the region is a big rust belt.

If/When ISIS gets "defeated" in the Middle East, the biggest concern/question is which Terror Group(s) is going to fill the power vacuums in that Region. ISIS in the grand scale was/is just a test run to see if a Islamic Terror Networks can take large parts of Land after/during Country Destabilization's.

(KB Archives: http://archive.4plebs.org/_/search/subject/knowledge%20bomb/username/anonymous5/tripcode/%21%219O2tecpDHQ6/)

ISIS is a Global Network at this point. with Europe being the next big area for them. They have operations in both North & South America, and expansion plans in Asia.

-those are lies. In catalonia is mandatory the teaching in catalan, only 2 hours in spanish at week. If you open a shop in catalonia you must put every single thing in catalonian, spanish not mandatory.
-Basques, Navarre and Cantabrian are richer, because of the tax benefits of a special law. Catalonia is increasingly poor because they have a pro-independence government that supports mass immigration, those immigrants are also independentists. Also in Barcelona they have a communist mayor who instead of taking action against the crime of immigrants, she gives them benefits and rents them flats to live there.

Our prime minister is an autist cuckservative, he don't want to do anything against the putschists because he's scared of the international reaction. You know, the Catalonian coup makers will become the victims, they will say that the Spanish government is franquist, fascist, authoritarian, oppressor, etc.
So it looks like he's waiting until they declare "independence" and them the police will arrest them all.

Since i dont speak french i had to rely on google translate and i just supposed the article you sent spoke about this https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2017/06/218536/rif-protests-detainees-nasser-zafzafi-saturday-al-hoceima/
in which i gave a claim that appeared later thsn that. Looking at what you provided again ot says hebappeared in good shape not that we wasnt tortured 1 and a half month ago.

>Still, his resistance was admirable
point is he fought for the rif not all of the land. You tried to claim him as a national hero when there is no basis for that.

>Literally nobody used the rif money. Spanish pesetas were the actual currency used in the republic. Anyway, how the fuck could he plan to "liberate Morocco" when he had struggle holding his own fucking mountains
My initial point there was no basis to claim he wanted to liberatr all of morocco/going beyond the Rif. There is no evisence for such. The very fact he never had a plan proves that regardless what the circumstances was for him. You got no evidence for you claim in the Pastebin.

>I'm saying that it historically had no cultural symbolism in the region except by the very few MUH PANBERBERISM faggots that exist in Kabylia until the protests happened... the vast majority of these flags were made during May and June in Netherlands
Except it did have a cultural symbol in the region and by riffis abroad.

Despite him being a panarabist afterwards and advocating for the liberation of the entire Maghreb?
There's no evidence of him being one at the time, but there definitely is afterwards.

>and by riffis abroad
Why should Moroccans care about them?

>if the 100k retards made it the symbol of the rif and choose to represent themself by it who are you to say no it doesnt mean that but it means separatism.
Because it doesn't symbolize the riffis then. It represents only the separatist/ethnonationalist faggots.

>Why aren't there talks about unification and become an north African super power?
There was the Maghreb Arab Union which was well-set on forming an EU-like tight structure in North Africa... but conflicts between Algeria and Morocco/Libya fucked up the project and it's basically frozen now (sahara between Morocco and Algeria and some shit I can't remember between Libya and Algeria, and Mauritania accused Libya of sponsoring a coup in its country)

it's barely a country to begin with. on a good day Kabul has a hard time projecting power outside its city limits. doesn't get easier if you're a US puppet. Honestly I think the "they have the watches, we have the time" thing really is the truth of the matter: local pop know that they can maybe hang with the US to get gibs and some temporary protection, but they also know that the US will grow tired and leave, so they don't commit to what the US is trying to do.

Then when Spain secures their borders they will keep coming here and stay here, it'll be a nightmare
I'd rather have the current situation which is still somewhat manageable than breaking the status quo

>>133163889
>the blackies very rarely commit crimes here and even when they do it's because a libyan have paid him to do something retarded like being a drug mules and ending up in a checkpoint getting their asses kicked.
They form gangs here, not same situation

>they also stay here for a short while until they save the money they need to buy a ticket to italy.
Yeah but Italy takes them in, meanwhile Spain deports them back to Morocco
It's quite funny since we end up dropping them in the middle of the sahara with no food or water afterwards

Iran is Saudi Arabia's opponent which therefore makes them ours. Just the way it is.

Invading Iran is impossible and any dumbass who proposes going to war with them needs to be thrown in an asylum; as such, containment, not elimination, is the strategy you need. It doesn't even need to be that extensive - the "Shia Crescent" was basically guaranteed to become real the minute Bush decided it would be a genius idea to take out their #1 rival. Just keep them out of Arabia - keep Qatar in the fold, keep Oman neutral (maybe even pressure them a bit - close the border to those Quds Force you fuckers), fix Yemen.

Yes, if destabilizing Saudi Arabia wouldn't produce assloads of Jihadists, except that it would, so that's a really bad idea.

I agree, it is a short term solution. Obama was kind of right about just wanting to let the whole region fuck itself until they got their shit together, other than killing Jihadists (because they threaten the West), but that isn't doable NOW - to actually extricate Western interests from the ME, we have to replace fossil fuels to that point that a disruption in the supply from Saudi Arabia would not cause an economic disaster. That isn't going to happen within the next couple decades - if we put our minds to it, maybe a century is more like it.

>>133168913
It's not that simple.

Yes, the Saudi Clerics are allowed to export their toxic shit. It's a concession to keep the King "ok" in the eyes of the clergy. Those guys are absolute whackjobs, they were about ready to declare fucking Jihad when he ordered that 20% of his Royal Council be female. It's a shitty deal, but it's not the shittiest deal we could have (ie no deal, and they run the country), and I can't see any better one.

Halting and reversing the spread of extremist ideology within Islam is more important than resource control. dem/rep divide is pointless hegelian dialectic meme when dealing with GLOBAL GOOD

Er, there were a lot of Syrians who didn't want the Russians there either. The difference is that you don't like the people who oppose Assad, so you ignore that.

Yemen doesn't have the ability to "invade" Saudi Arabia, only raid it. Yemen has had civil wars before and, lacking oil/money/a strong government, that seems to be a pattern that continues. The Houthis, like Iran, wouldn't matter to me if the Iranians weren't setting up anti-ship missiles in the Mandeb Strait and AQAP wasn't running loose because the Yemeni Army is too busy fighting Houthis.

AQ Central is gone, ISIS (fomerly AQ Iraq) is being burried, Al Qaeda in Syria and Al Qaeda in Yemen are now the primary threats; indeed AQAP has been responsible for all AQ terror attacks since Bin Laden's death, it's past time they were dealt with.

I don't just merely dislike "people" who shill the imperial zionist anti-assad agenda, they are not even people to me, so their so-called opinions are less than irrelevant to me, as are their lives which exist on borrowed time.
My word is law, and all who oppose assad shall fall, no exceptions.

It's a tough one.

The Taliban won't ever give up; on the other hand, the consistently persist in harbouring Jihadists that are hostile to the West. The only option aside from permanent occupation/fighting is to invade, kill the terrorists, leave, and come back whenever another international Jihadist group forms there again. Not sure which is more annoying, but what has to be tossed out is the idea of absolute victory - this is like international policing, not a war. Jihadism cannot be destroyed on a battlefield any more than locking up criminals stops crime, but you definitely can't do nothing about it, so the strategy becomes containment/control/punishment rather than absolute elimination. That's how the War on Terror has to be fought; all the people who insist the US leave Afghanistan because they can't "win" don't understand it isn't a fight you can "win" because "winning" is a state rather than an event, and requires constant effort to maintain. People haven't realized/caught up to this new kind of fighting yet, or are not willing to accept it as reality because it's depressing.

Moroccan Arabic can be (and is considered by some linguists) a separate language. The vocabulary is mixed between berber, arabic, french, and spanish, and the grammar is mixed as well (+ some innovations thrown in).

You'll have to be more specific, unless you're talking about Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the reasons for their ties already being well-established knowledge.
