I made that mistake in the past of thinking I can participate without getting involved.

The Catholic church has a lot of services you don't need to be baptised for. Things like eucharistic adoration and benediction, stations of the cross etc.
You can attend the mass itself without being part of the parish or even being Catholic.

Every disability conceals a vocation. It requires no works to be saved, it requires faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Abram believed upon the Lord, the Lord credited it to him as righteousness. When you believe upon Jesus' Name and what He did on the Cross for your sins, you receive the Holy Spirit. This is salvation by grace. However, as in the parable of the seed, you are a baby Christian and you need to grow in the Spirit. Many baby Christians end up losing their salvation, they fall away, either the cares of the world engulfs them or they blaspheme the Holy Spirit. You grow in the Spirit by living like Christ Jesus and walking in His footsteps. A good formulae is taking Daily Communion: reading God's Word, repenting of sins, eating His Body and drinking His Blood (you don't have to actually eat and drink anything physical, can be mental), and praying or worshiping.

Sin blocks off our communication with God. God calls us to be Holy for He is Holy. God speaks to us primarily through His Word, this is why it is important to read the Bible in the Spirit.

The Bible and other holy texts are meant to subvert you from salvation. Satan wants to trick you into believing you cannot be saved and that you will never escape sin. I am here to tell you that while you will always find a way to sin, you will eventually find a way to love yourself because sinning made you a beautiful person full of love. Only through sin do we shine, and through temptation do we aspire salvation.

They had to work in order to follow God's commandments and to not sin. But God will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you can handle.
