You may have misunderstood the explanation then because that's exactly what the chart show. It is normalized by percentage of posts already.

If Romanians were 2% of posts before and are 1% now that's a 50% ditching rate. If Americans were 50% of posts before and 25% now that's a 50% ditching rate as well. It is already normalized by proportion of posts.

I mentioned in the post tho that (in Israel case for instance) a small sample size magnifies the effect of a few people ditching because that would represent a large proportion of posters of that flag.

Also, cutoff point: that blue column is an arbitrary one, simply one that came for free with the calculation done. One could choose any cutoff point and it would be equally meaningless.
