I was reading about 1973 war today, its mindboggling how even after six years to prepare and having full strategic iniative and surprise, Syrian military still got their pushed in by IDF in a few days. that was an exageration because of an initial public reaction. qatar isn't reliant on saudi for food. re: shipping, maersk, which initially complied with saudi orders, found a work around via Oman. They will run out of caviar before they run out of food. Meanwhile, Yemen is seeing real starvation and food shortages.

I talk with a Houthi days ago about the situation, he feel that Trump is maybe waiting to destroy the entire Gulf Countries by selling them weapons and fight each others, of course he's having blood in his hand because thank to that KSA is bombing more Yemen, but he felt that KSA is also giving up on Yemen and getting more into Qatar and UAE.

Someone here remember Tony Toh? An old source from Yemen? Well, before he left Twitter, he said that is totally possible that Qatar vs UAE vs Saudi Arabia could happen, because Southern Yemen, like Idlib in Syria, is totally fragmented with many groups financed by many others countries of the region.

The situation on the Arabic Penisula is worth watching, isn't a coincidence that after Trump leave KSA, isn't just a "le fucking 521512D chess" but more a already planned shit.

Also, i add that Iran is having a lot of fun with this situation, but even more thank that Hezbollah can travel to Tehran again.

This dooesn't make any sense, Egypt is against KSA/Israel shit, they're in the same position that Syrian right now and making some connections with Russia and some pro-Gaddaffi supporters in Libya to finish terrorism in the country.

This Qatari shit is obviously a thing to clear the image of KSA/UAE for supporting ISIS by betraying Qatar, and why Qatar? Because they have all the information about that, maybe Turkey went to Qatar because of that, if Erdogan can defend this information, they can fight off KSA and make them pay for the coup.

I highly recommend to keep watching this situation and not fall into some things. For me, every single word that Tony Toh said is becoming true.

So what's the deal here?

Did Qatar wanted to make peace with Iran and the Sunni-Israel alliance did a pre-emptive attack?

Or did Saudi Arabia media attacks forced Qatar to seek allies in Turkey and Iran?

I have been thinking about this.

The pipeline was almost certainly the main reason why Turkey and Qatar were so interested in the war in Syria, and were willing to support the Islamic mega-moderates.

This all changed when the SAA put a stop to the Turkey intervention in Syria and blocked the possibility of building the pipeline. Qatar and Turkey probably have changed priorities.

Interesting recomendations on what US should do re: Qatar.
>6. The US should remain at Al Udeid in Qatar and Al Dafra in the UAE, and keep the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain: Washington will not benefit strategically from moving one base out of Qatar. Instead, the United States should diversify its strategic footprint in the region by considering additional basing in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

That doesn't necessarily mean he wants to go back to how things were, he could be looking to let the citizens in Qatar know that his only problem is with the rulers, that way with enough pressure Qatari citizens may start to call for the KSA to step in and remove the monarchy in the hopes of avoiding bloodshed.

Qatar is tiny and would require air and sea delivery of troops, Saudi on the other hand shares a land border, given the size and the population of Qatar there won't be that many military sites that need to be taken in order to secure the country. All KSA needs to do is take enough of Qatar quickly enough to make it unfeasible for reinforcements to be sent to Qatar's aid. For instance if the KSA control all the ports I doubt Turkey or Iran have enough if any landing vessels capable of getting any of their troops ashore, but even if the KSA couldn't control the sea and airports do either Iran or Turkey have the ability to move enough troops in quickly enough to do anything about an invasion by land? moving any noticeable amount of heavy armour would require the aforementioned landing vessels, KSA wouldn't have that problem.

it has nothing to do with pride, they do have large American Bases, just not in Mecca. The Quran explicitly forbids non-muslims from entering Mecca or Medina under any circumstance,so thats why theres no US forces there in those cities, i think thats what youre referring to.

I want this meme to end and people to realize Qatar is majority indian workers and American soldiers. Qatari citizens literally sit at home all day and get fat from government subsidies, they dont even work and have the highest obesity rate in the world. Also, i stayed in Qatar for a few months, their waistlines put even Americans to shame, noone walks, even the women are fat beyond reason and everyone has a white escalade with free petroleum from the government, and literally no qataris even have a job except for a few police officers here and there. Theyre literally worhtless and will never rebel. Its the current Emirs extended family who is the problem, the only danger he faces is a palace coup, not a popular uprising

Even Iran has ships n the Persian golf. It won't be easy for Saudi Arabia to reach the ports without going through urban areas, which each require a long time to fully secure. Iran will never attack anyone unprovoked or directly, they only do proxy wars, they would never attack saudi directly and openly unless saudi openly and directly attacks them. Iran sure as hell wont risk their necks to save Qatar, even if there are financial gains to be made, they wouldnt put themselves at risk of an amerrican counterattack
>Or Qatar/ Iran air defense.
Oh sweetie, you think CENTCOM will just sit and watch Iranian anti-aircraft missiles being deployed in Doha?
>You have no idea how incompetent Arab armies (Minus Israel and Syria) acutally are.
Israel is not Arab lol Syria is also inept when not propped up by Iran and RUAF
>>129432684
>urban areas
Doha is a few thousand houses, some skyscrapers and restaurants and is like a 15-minute drive from one end to another. lol I dont know why everyone here is talking as if Doha is Fallujah.

Yemen is a whole different case entirely, Houthis are armed to the teeth, Saleh has mechanized divisions and special forces and the Elite Republican Guard and their missiles at his command, and Yemenis as a people have a culture of warfare and tribalism in their blood, there are some tribes numbering in the millions who have declared war on KSA, the reason KSA doesnt invade is cuz Yemen has a treacherous terrain and the second-highest per capita gun ownership int he world, no one in his right mind would invade Yemen, its like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Qatar is flat desert with a rich and pampered and fat population and a 10k-man srmy that is over 30% non-Qatari
>>
>>129432626

Can confirm Arab armies are pretty incompetent. I mean there are exceptions but in general definitely agree.
>>
>>129432626
No I know the KSA are a bunch of fuckwits, but both Turkey and Qatar are made of the same cloth, it is simply two groups of retards pit against one another, I'm also highly doubtful Iran would interfere regardless of what they may say, allowing the Saudis to show and solidify a rift between the KSA and Turkey would benefit them. If the Saudis were to invade Qatar and Turkeys forces in the country became involved it would prompt Turkey to call on NATO, there is already a deep rift that has been formed in the past few years between Turkey and various NATO countries coupled with the fact that the most powerful countries in NATO have deep financial ties to the KSA it would most likely end up with either Turkey being asked to stand down or Turkeys expulsion/voluntary leaving of the alliance. That would be of great value to both Iran and Russia which would almost guarantee them to sit out of the conflict as at the end of it the only options Turkey would have would be to change its attitude and ally with the Iran/Russian side of things or go it alone.

Back to the invasion of Qatar like I said, two retards fighting against each other in a tiny country. All the KSA really needs to do is push forward, simplest strategy you could imagine, I'm sure given their track record they would take heavy losses but like I said they are fighting against an enemy as inept as they are in a country whose people may not have any loyalty to their ruling elite in the first place. If enough pressure from the other gulf states is applied along with various other western media outlets pinning all the blame on Qatar for the rampant head choppers that have sprung up over the last decade then it is very likely that it will be the same as the ISIS advance on Mosul where the people greeted them and the Army surrendered.

They have ships yes, but the wrong type of ships, or not enough of them, they would find themselves having to use civilian transports/cargo vessels in order to move the necessary volume of equipment and that is only if their military is in a state of readiness capable of meeting the demands required of a mobilisation like that. Even European countries have examples found when probed by inquiries into their readiness (during the Ukraine conflict when questioned about meeting a new Russia threat) that the best they could muster within a month is a few thousand men and half a dozen tanks, that is the whole point of the new Task Force that was created. By contrast you are asking two countries whose military forces are comprised of mainly Early Cold War tier equipment to mass mobilise and deploy in hours/days.

You know full well thats not a good comparison, US presence in those nations is not as in-control as in the Gulf. there are rules to the great game and each side has a sphere of influence theyre allowed to maneuvre in and red lines they cant cross. Please dont insult my intelligence by equating putting air defenses in Latakia or Baghdad with putting air defenses in Doha Its like saying just because the Iranians can set up defences in shiite neighbors allied to them means that the USA would simply let them take over or set up air defenses in a Gulf nation. There are lines Iran cant cross, there is a reason they rely so heavily on proxies and afghans and hez and iraqis , there is an ((international)) decision to not allow direct Iranian military buildup in syria. otherwise the Iranians wouldve just airdropped 200k revolutionary guards and took back syria and ended it in a few days

But I literally never implied Iran would do something in Qatar, it's not worth it.

I just pointed that this "Oh sweetie, you think CENTCOM will just sit and watch Iranian anti-aircraft missiles being deployed" was a unrealistic and a exaggerated argument.
I saw it as a "We bomb every one, USA USA!!" type of argument. The US is not a "Lion" and this has been proved.
>>
>>129436692
i dont know if youre being sarcastic or what youre referring to, but anyways I adamantly believe there is something fishy about the USA selling Qatar so many anti-aircraft missiles, they definitely have some way to jam them or destroy them if the Qataris turn on them. Hell, Qataris are so useless I wouldnt be surpirsed if blackwater employees or actual US marines are the ones operating the batteiries
>>
So who should we support in this guys?

I'm thinking Qatar because KSA and Sunni axis is foolishly pushing Qatar into the Iranian axis, and also creating Turkey. I think if Iran plays this right, they can get Qatar and Turkey to stop funding anti-Assad jihadis, which would wind up playing into Assad's favor and fuck over the anti-Assad effort by KSA/US/Israel.

Thoughts?

Although the sex situation there sucked, my only hope was hooking up with tourists, and tourists usually came in couples anyways. I heard some stories of qatari girls whoring around behind their family's back but idk how much of it is true.

Yes, but that's quite some time ago and they try to profile themselves as a "all-lebanese" resistance movement nowadays, denouncing suicide bombing, dropping the sectarian character (to a certain extent) etc

>If we go by your logic then Lebanon should have been annexed by Israel in a couple of days in the israel-lebanon wars

Thank god i didnt fall asleep before reading this retarded post.I literally fucking said Qatar is a weak, demilitarized peaceful tiny nation. Lebanon was having a civil war and was overrun by militias roaming in every neighborhood, and weapons were easier to find than food. Every Lebanese man of military age was in a one militia or another, and there was syrian ary in lebanon as well. Also, Lebanon has mounaptainous and forest-y terrain conducive to guerrila warfare. stop comparing apples and oranges, your utter lack of ability to think with abstract reasoning is an early sign of schizophrenia btw. Qatar are cucks and would be easily defeated
>>
>>129441602
Your examples aren't examples, Lebanon has a much more motivated populace living next to a country it has heated differences with, it has a population of almost 6 million and Israel a population of 8.

Qatar has a population of 300 thousand, KSA armed forces are 300 thousand troops (That isn't even their total active personnel that is just their troop count, military personnel is more than double) and a population of 30+ Million, they also have the armies of their vassal states. The combined Qatari military force is under 12 THOUSAND. The Saudis could be armed with fucking sticks and still roll over Qatar in days as long as they had soldiers willing to push forward, Arab armies fall apart because they can't co-ordinate but again, Qatar is tiny, flat and open and no strategy is involved it is just steamroll in and occupy, stop trying to make out like it would take any form of effort.

On one side, the cut from supplies weakens the rebels there (the longer, the more) BUT, they could become desperate and try - in cordination with the (west side of the supplyline) rebels, a breakthrough to the wes.
IF this happens and works, the supplyline towards daraa has become way more inefficient.

Yeah I don't get it, I just decided to have another quick look at Qatar, 74 miles from the furthest part top to to bottom and only one major city. Everything apart from Doha could be taken within a day or two, there should be almost no resistance on the ground as the only defensive location they have is the city and they don't have the manpower to do anything other than hold the city/port and hope someone will come to their aid in the first place. Turkish navy is already out of the picture having to actually sail through the Suez and along the Saudi coast for 100s of kilometres and the Iranian navy (who I doubt would help) have a handful of very small LSTs. Unless there is a huge military force sent by Turkey and stationed inside the country there is no way Qatar could hold out more than a few days.

I however am doubtful of an unsupported Saudi invasion in the first place, I just don't see how anyone could get the idea that Qatar would be anything more than a very small speed bump trying to stop tank.

>>

>>
>>129445469
Is that it? That can't be the whole 'base'? If that is all there is to it then the only defence they have is if they call in aircraft from Jordan, there is literally nothing stopping the SAA (aside from the obvious escalation that would occur afterwards) from raining rockets on their location and turning it into a crater. They could probably bomb the location from the air and be on their way back before Jets were scrambled.

(Obviously none of things are going to happen it is just surprising how much fuss has been made out of something the size of a MacDonald's packing lot.)

This is the better approach. I think it's more important to start isolating those rebel-held towns and essential to completely cut them off from the Jordanian border and any hope of supplies, reinforcement or medical aid. Those towns and cities will fall a lot easier once their supply lines are gone than they would otherwise.

hm...step 2 is really interesting i have to say.

The back of the SAA would be (more or less) save, because its jordan teretory and i guess it would be some kind of diplomatic fuck up if the jordans allowed the FSA to attack the SAA from jordan side of the border...

However, in this case step 1 would be more or less unnessesary.
Step 4 would be VERY important, to make sure, the SAA wouldn't cut off from supply (step 2) in case the rebels pushing through their lines.

risky, but defenitivly interesting.

That is actually a possibility, unless there are SAM's deployed in the direction we aren't being shown they have no air defence or any visible defence against anything without calling in air support from across the border, also the first time they struck the SAA near Al Tanf new media stated the US wouldn't allow the SAA within 50km (Which puts the base outside standard arty range) but I saw a report yesterday saying the SAA were within 20km which puts them right on the edge of the 2S1 SPGs and BM-21 MLRS maximum ranges. No idea how accurate those reports are since news sites base most of their info on social media now.

I doubt the SAA would be stupid enough to actually attack a position with US-Coalition troops though, they let the Israelis hit them time and time again without retaliation for the same reason, they know it would be used as an excuse for invasion.

I'm on mobile and currently locked out of my house because the lock is shit and won't turn even when the key is fitting perfectly. I have to wait for a roommate to wake up and let me in. I cannot bake right now.

Someone probably should've told them that all the Martial arts schools they saw on youtube use blocks and boards designed to break with minimal effort.

Didn't stop the Turks from letting Al Qaeda dance back and forth across the border, I remember a couple of years back they were let them launch an attack that let them make a huge push taking half a dozen small settlements before the SAA could react.
