And while 4/pol/ has gone to shit, it remains a hot spot for human exchanges.

I had heard of 4chan and /pol/ years ago, but I started to come here about year ago toward the end of the US presidential election.

At the time I used to hang around on r/the_donald and would avoid this place because, even though /pol/ is praised 24/7 on r/the_donald, I knew it had a reputation as a dark corner of the internet filled with "muh evil natzee and rayciss". Ironically enough at the time I was also checking alt-right information sources (and still do), mostly social media accounts now banned, because back then the term alt-right was still circulating around in pro-Trump circles and it didn't have the same "evilness badge" attached to it. Inevitably I became redpilled on race, and once the ideological barrier broke I decided to finally check /pol/ out.

This is the whole truth. History has been cumulatively revised and misportrayed so much that a whole generation see only one political ideal thrust in their face. My generation (at least in the UK) have been for the most part raised as either cucks or subhumans. So, back in mid 2015, I seen "anonymous" doing some hacking shit... so I thought "who the fuck are these guys, I always see them"... so I watched some little documentary on JewTube and it said they came from 4Chan /b/....

So I went to this "4chan" website that I never heard of, and went to /b/.... it seemed pretty dumb... but this was also around the time that Trump announced he was running for president, and he actually had a couple rallies or whatever, and I loved Trump. So I would go to different websites debating/arguing people over Trump... because most people like whoever the media tells them to like.

Well, after about 2 seconds of realizing /b/ was shit, I thought "I wonder if 4chan has a political board".... so I came to /pol/ thinking I would argue, but I instantly realized this was home.

I've been here every day since.
