Yea there is something nostalgic about it indeed. I remember wearing tight skinny jeans for the first time and skateboarding too. I also remember growing out my hair, getting my first pair of Vans shoes, listening to Metalcore and post hardcore like Chiodos. It was like a white suburban teenage gang lite culture.

I actually loved the fact that emo/goth stuff was explicitly white subculture and largely apolitical. I remember by the second part of 2000's lots of them hung around at local art schools. Here in eastern europe, Emo/Goth was actually a big thing for a long time and we had couple of local emo bands and even some movies that featured this subculture. It's really cringe to look back, but at least there was some energy to it, wasn't this low-energy numale folk that SJW's and hipsters listen these days.

Im gonna be honest with people.

I hated emo kids because I was jealous they had better social and sex lives all from bullshitting everything. They pretended to like certain bands, conform to a certain style, and pretty much ride the trend train to score with girls and make more friends. Meanwhile, I tried to be true to myself, yet being myself at the time wasn't appealing to others. That's where I got bitter and called people posers while jerking off and listening to metal alone.

Scene kids were no different. Just a bit more flamboyant. Some of them were a bit obnoxious, but why be upset over a skinny kid who can get his ass whooped? That's called being insecure.

The goths in the past were either, well, just dark people with a pissed off look. Then there was the later type of goth in the early 2000's where it was like a weeaboo Deviant Art type of goth. They were rather harmless, but growing up, their popularity ended swiftly once emo, scene, and modern skater came out.

Weeaboos were typically gay/lesbian proto-furries in their little cliques reading manga. They were emo LITE or like the drama class geeks.

Well I have always been a curious person and I was kinda nerdy in school. Loved to study history a lot and aced the history tests. Was a matter of time when I stumble upon race realism. In general, being from the US, Brexit and the EU don't really inspire much feeling in me. I don't like globalism much in principle, but I also don't think that autarky works these days, and if I lived somewhere that allowed me to travel to or move to a dozen plus other countries without hassle, I would be kind of bummed if people voted to get rid of that luxury. Plus, a lot of the people openly advocating for Brexit were pretty thick and corny, so that was a big turn off.

As an American, I didn't get that worked up by the whole anti-immigration aspect of the presidential race. It'd be nice, in theory, if anyone could live anywhere, but since that is not happening, I don't see why the US not letting people in should be such a big deal. At the same time, the travel ban was sloppy and embarrassing, and stuff like deporting people when they come to complain about domestic abuse is even worse.

That said, like I kind of referred to above, immigration isn't the issue that I hang my hat upon. I'm also not really the go live in the woods type (even if my family does have a cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere that runs on gas without electricity that I plan to use when shit goes down). I am more the type to live a pragmatic life, advance my goals in small ways when I get the chance, and wait to see what goes down.

My main goal is class war. The financial elites, whatever their racial or political makeup, need to be put up against the wall. There is enough for everyone in the world to live modestly if people stop hoarding wealth.

This priority of mine is partially why I don't get all that sprung about immigration. We have tons of poor and homeless people in the US. If we aren't even going to take care of our own, it is pretty stupid to invite other poor people on the sinking raft.

(Though, latinas are really hot, so it is hard to mind more of them.)
