On my last visit to Paris, there was trash everywhere in the subway. Practically every ride you took somebody would stand up, shout "Attention s'il vous plait" and ramble on begging for money. At least the pickpocket problem isn't as bad as the one in Rome... yet...

It's pretty fucking bad, went there a few years back and the whole city was pretty bad. Smelled like cigs and piss everywhere, which was really upsetting considering how nice the museums were along with some of the monuments. Do they have A/C in their subways yet? They didn't when I went and everyone was sweating like crazy, adding to the smell, and I am not even going to go into how a homeless fuck blocked the doors once and kept begging for money.
Real shame for a city that is so hyped up and has such a rich heritage.

The northern European cities I've visited tend to be nice, but they've largely forsaken their culture. Maybe it's just my experience, but London was just New York with more Muslims, and Amsterdam didn't have a lot of historical touristy stuff.

The southern European cities I've visited are just plain shittier, but they maintain something resembling Europe. They're poorer, everything's covered in graffiti, and the trains are less reliable, but I didn't feel like I was in New York.

Maybe it's just because Northern Europe peaked after Southern Europe did.

Big cities in the US don't really feel American either. They're cosmopolitan, globalist shitholes. The American countryside really feels American, but it reminds you just how vacuous American culture is nowadays.

On this note Tokyo isn't a beautiful city either. It is a fun place to be with lots of cool shit to do, but other than that it is just generic buildings everywhere aside from some few specific locations. It is especially misleading because when they see pictures of Japanese towns it is pretty much what you see is what you get. Pic related is actually what it would look like if you went there, if you as westerner go to Japan your expectations are met. Vice versa they are not, Japanese have their image of France and Europe shattered if they come here based on what the read and see on their internet and their tourist bureaus.

I've visited Paris, New York, Vienna, Munich and now I live in Seoul.

New York has the worst infrastructure. maps and cleaning standards.
Paris has the worst people on them.
London has the worst overcrowding and ventilation.
Munich has a laughably small line.
Vienna is pretty cool, not huge but it's clean and easy to use.

Seoul is God tier so long as you don't sit down. There's air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. There are pretty girls everywhere (so long as you have dat yellow fever). Old men stare at you in awe of your giant dick, though because of this enlarged phallus the seats are so uncomfortably narrow you won't want to sit down at all. Also it closes early which is weird given the nocturnal culture but hey ho.

Sad is that it wasn't like that three decades back.
I visited Paris this year and while the countryside and smaller cities were stunning and really breathed the different culture and nature of its people, Paris spoke to me about things that were before and now they fade away. It is of course still artificially propped up (even though they lost twenty billions Euros on tourism this year), but when you go to side streets, well, not so much.
