For a homosexual gene to exist, there must be a pronounced trait to identify someone as homosexual. And since the act of homosexuality requires utilizing the male-male/female-female reproductive glands and body parts, then there should be some method to replicate the genes sexually.

Basically, if there was a homosexual gene; homosexuals would be two completely different specie apart from human. This is also why it's a big deal for homosexuals to reproduce outside heterosexual relationships; inability to do so proves it's either a fetish or a mental disorder - both require treatment for normal functioning.
