For the entire afternoon there were lots of expensive vehicles with tinted windows parked outside. Three are lined up across the road here. Every single vehicle that stayed parked there all afternoon was either a mercedes or range rover. There was also a black van (merc) that looked like a surveillance van parked directly across the street - the van didn't move for about 2 hours, had heavily tinted windows, and the driver sat in the driving seat for the entire time, except when he came out for about 5 mins to look up and down the street.
A full riot van lapped the area 3 times in around an hour, photographed here. Not sure why they would do this as in the UK you typically only see riot vans when there is a potential for trouble (at football games, street events, protests etc).
An event of note was a BRINK van that emerged from the back of the Embassy. It had "BRINK" and "M75" printed on the side. It was basically a huge armoured truck. The alley at the back of the embassy is shared with other buildings though, so possibly nothing. I'm just noting that people could easily fit in the back of there. Also, as others on Julian Watch have noted, there was a shitload of delivery vans coming and going (Fedex, UPS, Post Office). People who know the area well have commented that this number of delivery vans is unusual.
