The crop on the right of the guitar shouldnt be happening, I like that its vertical but we dont relaly need to see that much of his legs. I like the lighting on the right side of his face but above his head theres some very unnatural glow and the background ceiling-corner thing behind his head is distracting. Also the ceiling light on the left. Personally I avoid taking photos of musicians just because most of the time the way they stand/pose while playing just isnt very compelling or out of the ordinary and that's something this photo struggles with as well. A lot of people take pictures of guitarist and this one falls short of being different.

I wish this had a wider depth of field. I do like the composition somewhat but im not a fan of how the people on the left are standing -- I wish they were interacting more with eachother or the environment. Also, try to edit out the illuminati text. Try looking at some of Jeff Walls work where he works with similar environments.

Not a bad shot but just not appealing enough. I think you should really revisit this location at a time where the light is more dramatic. Brian Ulrich's Dark Stories work is an example of how great lighting can uplift any shot if used correctly.

This relies too much on the sky. The silhouettes arent even fascinating in the least sense. Theres no reason for the blur either unless youre trying to project that youre moving past these things but I cant even establish where the viewer or camera is because the whole bottom half is pitch black which is just a huge no no.

Harsh cc? You using those god awful borders and backgrounds just screams to me that you dont have the confidence in your photos to stand out by themselves. Seriously, never do this shit. Horrendous as hell and I feel bad for you if you ever showed someone these with the intention of impressing them. Now, the photos themselves? Great. The editing works and you seem to know how to frame a shot. The third photo (cathedral) seems a bit too different from the other two so I would avoid putting it in the same sequence/collection. I like your use of the sky. Theres one fine arts photographer I wanted to recommend you take a look (they used sky as a big emphasis on one of their projects, with it taking up 60-80% of each shot) but i forgot their name.

I like the shot. I like the dog and what he's doing. But why are you editing it in this manner? What does pulling the shadows to a hazy-light gray do thats new to the photo? The blue light is weird to me and I feel it takes away from what the dog has in his mouth which is the real focal point of this shot.

What are the best ways to remove yellow/orange hues from a photo?

I usually try to adjust Temperature in Lightroom or "Warmth" in Snapseed.

Is there a superior way to remove those hues?

In Lightroom I changed the white balance and took about -50 out of the yellow saturation channel.

The best way is to compensate for the incandescent lighting in-camera or with white balance in post. But yellow saturation and then boosting the overall saturation helps.

I appreciate that no face is visible but that itself isnt compelling enough. the lady in the middle is supposed to be a focal point but the lightning on her is off. the two guys whos face are somewhat visible arent doing anything interesting. your iso is also too high that although im sure theyre in focus they all seem too grainy for me to be sure.

ok. hopefully i explain this good enough. so for any photo that you ever take where you arent interested in over editing and just want the most neutral of colors (or polish the photo) do this.
>open your image
>create a new layer thats on top
>change new layer's mode from normal to color
>in new layer, enter the Levels adjustment.
>change the Levels mode from RGB to each of the three colors that you see (red,green,blue).
>whenever youre in each of the 3 color modes, change the ends of the level graph.
>theres should be a white graph graphic thing, make it so that the ends are in the same x-coordinate as when that graphic starts and ends.
>congrats, now your image's color profile is neutral and should look normal

there are a lot more things you can like this (for pic related i did what i just posted as well as fixed the luminosity of your photo).

it was super dark, i assume the clouds didn't help but to get any colour i had to have the ISO right up and do a 30 second exposure meaning i got movement in the stars

how do people get their colours looking so good as well? what editing do people do?

I like it. I don't know what your opinion on photoshop is but it could help out out a bit with colors and shadows. I would have included more stream in the photo, you have two interesting subjects on either side of the frame but nothing in the middle. Some people may like this but I'm not drawn to anything and think centering something would benefit you.
