Was looking through my old photos and found some that kinda intrigued me.
There is obviously a cage on the foreground but it looks like it has been blurred so much that it has become invisible.
What settings would make such an effect show up?

Wide open aperture for a shallow depth of field.
Need a good lens or else it can get really glowy and undefined.
