I'm about to be homeless. Weather is cooling, area is coastal, rain should be frequent this time of year.

Interested in going north up the coast for an indefinite amount of time, probably on a bicycle. What type of food and gear should I carry or scavenge.

I live in the southern hemisphere so north = tropics for me. Bike is an old rusty road bike in decent condition, I am fitting new spokes and tires and will probably carry spare inner tubes.

You're in the damn kitchen right now aren't you anon

>>977851
You'll need whatever tools to work on your bike, obviously. Id say don't take too much stuff that you can't carry it on you also it would suck to have to get rid of the bike and a bunch of the shit you brought with you. Just look at the temps and take blankets/appropriate sleeping bag. You'll need some trash bags and 2 tarps. Line your pack with a trash bag in case you get caught in the rain. Also you can make a poncho for yourself out of one if you don't have any rain gear. Being wet with no hope of drying off can be absolutely fuckin miserable, especially when all your stuff is soaked too. I don't know where you live and I've never been out of the states so I don't know how viable dumpster diving/food pantries/bum feeds will be there but you can always get food if you just strike up conversation with people you meet along the way. Meeting people and socializing is pretty important, give yourself every opportunity you can. Take a bunch of spare underwear and socks. Stuff to camp comfortably will be your biggest concern, you need to be able to get good rest, keep the bugs off, and stay dry.

I currently live in Indiana, probably gonna be homeless this summer/in a few months.

What do I need to have on/with me?

Is taking my car worth it? I really kind of want to disappear and that seems easier to do on foot than on a car. I could potentially take a bicycle but I don't know how well that would work vs waking and hitch hiking.
>>
>>978011
Either way. Having a car is ezmode until it breaks down.

>>
>>978170
Don't do that to your family. There's ways to enjoy life and not have your parents be faced with the uncertainty of your safety. It's probably one of the most selfish and harmful things to do to your family. You'd be better off going an hero, at least they have closure. If they care enough to be worried about finding you they are worth sticking around. Take it from me I almost did what you did. Some amazing things (including an experience with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds) lead me to reconnect some ties and I don't regret it at all. It's made things so much better.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a single city in the USA that you couldn't easily find a room to rent that fits your budget.
>>
What some good tips to make sure you are always well fed without having money?
>>
>>978684
Fruit picking, my man. You're going to have to work to get your money if you like it or not, and it'll almost always involve your body doing the work.

When you're homeless, its simple to pass up simple skills many of us take for granted. Maths, writing, reading, speaking, and other applicable skills can get rusty if you aren't training them as often as you should. Look into buying an ereader or finding little book switches. Keeping a diary can also help keep the mind sane, and healthy as you're no doubt going to lose your comfortable life to a journey you might regret.

And always keep clean. You're homeless, but that doesn't mean you should keep others away with your pickled ball sweat beard.
>>
>>979407
Dumpsters (bakeries and grocery stores)
Stay late at a bakery and sometimes you won't even have to dig through the trash, I've been given bags of food without even asking for them.
Learn how to forage.
Ask people coming out of restaurants for their leftovers.
I've offered to work for a day in exchange for food at some smaller restaurants and been just given food for free.
I've also found that on occasion if you just loiter at a restaurant for long enough and look like you need it, they will give you the order if it is fucked up.

That said, I knew a guy who claimed that he pulled a scam where he would sit at a Waffle House for about an hour or so drinking coffee, then have his friend call in and order food. His friend would show up, claim that they made it wrong, make a fuss, and leave. The idea is that the workers would then give it to the guy just sitting around who would leave with it and share it with the guy that called it in. No idea how often it worked.

If you seriously can't find food after trying all of that, churches and shelters and shit give away food. I don't recommend that though, as I personally feel it is really a last resort. That said, do what you want. At least it isn't theft or poaching.

If you did have money,
You can prepare your own food for cheap if you budget
Hunting and fishing licenses can be worth the cost
>>
>>979469
Soup kitchens are another great source of food, and food banks if you aren't ashamed to take free food away from locals.
>>
>>979469
Good advice, thanks
>>
For the bums that are out bumming by choice and not necessity, why?

Is it just mindless hedonism, is it a spiritual thing, do you just enjoy nature or travel that much, are you simply rejecting societal norms for the sake of it, is it to see if you can do it, gain a new perspective, something else?

By necessity I mean not having the ability to have stable living conditions in the sense of the norm due to mental issues, situational problems, or simply not wanting to be around people.
>>
>>979507

>bumming by choice

Good one
>>
>>979507
bumming =/= traveling

I travel because I enjoy it more than sitting in a cubicle. You only have so much time to do what you want to do with your life, if your goal is make money, go make money; if your goal is to go travel, go travel. It's really that simple.
>>

Me and my dog will be homeless for a few weeks this summer between leases. Planning on rubber tramping in my truck. Is Walmart friendly to car campers or just RVs? I was planning on either making a tarp shelter over the bed or building my tent in the back (8ft bed). Are there better options for us rubber tramping? Generally looking for advice on rubber tramping in a pickup.
>>
>>979887
Honestly, invest in a topper shell. Especially if you want to sleep in parking lots.
>>
>>979887
Depends on the store, fewer walmarts are letting campers stick around these days because most of them eventually go into the store to take a bath in the restrooms or start stealing shit. One family of carbums got caught stealing from a walmart and then oe of them came in with a guy, threatening the walmart employees.

It really taints the vision of car hobos/bums when shot like that happens.
>>
>>979915
If that's not an option what are some good alternative places to park generally?
>>
>>980003
>It really taints the vision of car hobos/bums

Sad that they get a reputation based on their behavior
>>
>>979829
Keep that job and find a place close enough that you're not wasting fuel to get to work, but away from lights and people so they don't bug you.

This place will be your new sweet spot. You'll park here every night after work. Think of it as an extended camping trip. On your days off, go to laundry mats to wash clothes. Join a gym if you can, so you have access to showers.

All your money goes towards that debt. Allow yourself to spend 20 bucks for entertainment a month. Buy a book or something.

As for food, I'd get things you can heat up with your engine. Canned foods and such. Pop the hood, and place a can of food under it for a while. Unless you're lucky and can start a fire in your sweet spot.

Having possessions is good, but you have to keep them safe. Always have a pistol on you. The other guns and valuables go in the trunk.

I hope you make the best of it bud. Stay away from drugs. The first month or so can get depressing if you don't have friends around. You'll want anything to take the edge off, but it only makes it worse. You just have to keep that job at all costs.

Hope I could help.
>>
>>980014
Because you're giving away your vagrancy like a flare, you're going to have to seclude yourself a bit more than if you had a truck shell.
I'd look near local provincial, state or federal parks. They usually have cheap parking around the area, and you're likely going to have to wake up early or find a job that lets you camp nearby. I'd ask some farmers if they need an extra hand, and look around
>>
I turn 30 next month. Can you come pick me up and rape me before I am too old for you?
>>
>>980014
Parking lots are good 2 go man don't worry. Rotate between walmarts and truck stops and you will never be hassled.
>>
>>980119

>>
>>980003
You're just plain fuckin wrong and if you're that walmart wagecuck from last thread i invite you again to fuck yourself and stop lying to these guys.

>>980025
They don't. I have never had any body bother me at a walmart ever. This dude is talking out of his ass, or just assuming that everyone who wants to sleep at walmart will start shit. I have seen more normies raising hell at walmart than any other demographic. Literally no one cares that you're sleeping there, and if they do they are way too passive aggressive to do anything about it besides put a piece of paper letting you know you can only stay 1 night under your windshield wipers.

I love how he tries to make it sound like your shit will get pushed in too, most that would ever happen is a cop shows up to tell you to go park somewhere else.
>>
>>980119
>pick me up

What the fuck do you think this is? Stick your thumb out like everyone else. Think you get special treatment. Jeez.
>>
>>979887
If you want to sleep in the bed your best bet is gonna be a camper shell. Just get on craigslist you'll find one eventually. If you're gonna be tent camping in your truck bed you may as well just find a patch of trees to set up in. If I were you i'd get that shell and then build a bed back there. I've ran into people with some sweet truckbed setups before.
>>
>>980142
But what if I don't make in time? ;_;

>>
>>978262
Sleep in your car and then find a room to rent? It's pretty cut and dry, doesn't seem like you want to change your whole life around what with the job and such. You can shower/do laundry at a gym, YMCA, shelter or mission, truck stops etc.. I assume staying presentable to your job is something you want. It's pretty easy to just innacar it for a bit while you get back on your feet.
>>
>>978543
You can get away with parking pretty much anywhere as long as you move spots each night. Add that camper shell and you're stealth mode.
>>
>>979829
Craigslist roomshare if you can't find a place on your own. Put an ad in the paper. Talk to people. Don't try and get some shit 700/mo apartment where you have to pay 2k up front to move in. Get someone to let you live in their house for 2-300 a month and stack cash.
>>
>>980150
You don't have to sing. Hell, you can bang on a shitty hippy drum and come out with stacks. It really doesn't matter, getting yourself out there is the main thing.

Thinking about going on a trip across the US when I finish school. I want to experience new things, and learn a thing or two about life and myself.

How should I even begin?

I would probably only have a couple of thousand or so.

I also don't want to die from hitch hiking or other reason.

Carrying a firearm between states and shit would also be a pain in the ass so it's better if I don't.

Would appreciate some advice!
>>
>>980141
Bus rapist, why so angry? Did Walmart Employees hurt you?
>>
>>980419

>How should I begin

Get a backpack, a decent one. Osprey, Gregory, or maybe an ALICE pack if you're short on cash. Pack Sleeping bag, Tent, Garbage bags, Clothes, Rain Jacket, Bug spray, Sunscreen. Multitool and Headlamps are also useful. Be mindful of how much you carry. If you've never hiked around before you'll be quickly confronted with the pain of weight.

>I also don't want to die from hitch hiking or other reason.

You won't die. Hitchhiking is not anywhere close to the threat it's made out to be. Few tips to keep note are to only hitchhike in daylight. Make sure hitchhiking is legal in your area. Good places to hitchhike are gas stations, truck stops, on-ramps, and toll booths.(Make sure cars can pull over safely). Sit in the front if you can. Remember, you can always decline a ride if you feel uncomfortable.

>Carrying a firearm between states and shit would also be a pain in the ass so it's better if I don't.

Yeah, don't. Your awareness should be your way to defend yourself. A baton or taser isn't a bad choice to carry either.

Here bud, gonna give you solid advice:

Live in your car. You got a car, AND a job already.
Get a membership to a gym or to a local fitness community center or some shit. Doesn't have to be any place fashy or top notch, as long as it has decent showering rooms.

Go to the gym to take nice hot showers. Seek out laundromats to go to, they're relatively cheap and there are enough out there where they're not hard to find. Cheap to use too for the amount of clothes you can wash.

And just live in your car my dude. See if the place you work out can work out an agreement to let you park you car in their lot during the night so you can sleep. Either that, or find new areas every night to park your car in to sleep. Residential areas work if there are enough cars already parked on the curbs around regularly.
Cover your windows when you sleep, so no one suspects anything but a parked car.

That's cheap self-reliant mode.
You could always do what others said on here and find a room to rent. Godspeed
>>
>>980550

>>980925

>>
>>981025
Go to the bike touring threads on /n/. You can get a small bike trailer that fits your ruck so you can spend weeks hiking trails and then go back to your bicycle. If you want to be homeless than being on foot is fine but if you want to cover lots of ground for cheap in a fun way then I'd go with a bicycle. Maintenance is a non issue it's so easy and requires very few spares.
>>
In college I used to love to do this for summer break - just walk or bike to a distant spot, wander off into the woods with a little gear, and make do. I've got a great professional job now and those days are behind me, but I know at least one thing hasn't changed: law enforcement officers WILL find any way they can to heckle, harass, and even arrest you if they find out you've slept outside even one night without all the yuppie gear to advertise you're just a weekender.

Make sure you have an ID with a valid mailing address and refer to it as "home." Don't admit to wandering around and living the vagabond life. You're an IT engineer out enjoying the woods and the walk, and want to get on your way. Where you came from and where you're going is your business. For that matter, you can carefully exercise your rights (you don't have to provide ID unless there's an articulable reasonable suspicion that you've committed a crime, and just "looking scruffy" or "acting suspicious" or "someone reported a suspicious person" isn't enough.) If you're going to do that, watch some of the better youtube videos and know your stuff, but basically once you provide ID and start answering questions they will talk you into a corner with something that they will claim gives them probable cause to detain you further.

Also keep in mind that a LOT of areas have local laws against sleeping in public, being in a park after sunset, basically all sorts of laws to keep the homeless off the streets but that can be used against anyone not specifically camping in a designated area.

Good luck, and enjoy.
>>
>>981030
Not trying to be homeless, I want to have some good experiences and travel a bit of the country. Be able to explore and have an adventure that I can tell for years.
A bike trailer would be nice to store a bunch of things.

Would a bike do good on trails and shit?

>you can spend weeks hiking trails and then go back to your bicycle
What do you mean?
>>
>>981155
Nice dubs. Why don't you want to be homeless? Is the box life for you?
>>
>>981224
>Why don't you want to be homeless?
Although it's nice to have the freedom to do whatever you want, and explore. It can be harsh, and tough. I can see my self doing it for a while but not my whole life.
>>
>>981155
Bikes are fine on trails. What I mean is that you can have your pack(60l or around there) sitting in your trailer while riding to different state and national parks. When at the park find somewhere safe to lock it and grab your bag and go hiking for a week or two. You can also ride on a lot of trails if that's your thing, in fact most touring bikes can handle off road riding no problem.
>>
>>981318
Anon this sounds fucking perfect! I would love to do this honestly. Biking to another state might be pretty hard but it can be done.

First I think I need to start off by doing exercise and learning more about surviving in nature. Biking in my small local bike trail might be a good idea also.

Could I lock both the bike and trailer to a hidden tree or something? The trailers I saw on Amazon look plastic and not the most durable.
>>
>>981323
There's a guy who used to post here who straight up with no biking experience hit the road and crossed the country. Biking long distance is easier than some think, you probably will only spend 6 hours at most of the day biking and you take lots of breaks. I think if you can bike for two hours straight with a full load then you'll be good enough to set off. After that you'll just get stronger as you go.

You can lock the bike and trailer to a hidden tree if you want but you can only do that with a cable lock. That should be fine in the forest because if in the off chance someone finds it, they probably don't have the tools to break the cable. I prefer using a super heavy duty U-lock. There has always been places for me to U-lock my bike up at all the parks I've ridden to in California and a U-lock is much more secure. The reality is that your bike will much more likely be stolen in a city but you can never be too safe.

These are the trailers to look at, they will carry everything you need. Don't worry too much about the singe wheel trailers, when stopped you can angle your bike and trailer at 90 degrees and they'll hold each other up. http://www.cyclingabout.com/best-bike-trailers-bicycle-touring/

I work overnight Walmart. No one gives a fuck really.
Mostly, just don't draw attention. We get a lot of regular customers and since it's not high traffic overnights, we notice them sometimes.
Don't go around bummin cigs, change and shit from everyone all the time. Anyone at walmart naturally doesn't have much to spare anyways.
Mostly, just don't draw attention, be annoying or obnoxious and we either won't notice you or care.
Picking the same spot in the lot not too far away is a good idea because passerthrough will probably just assume you work there.
>>
>>981362
If he did it I guess I can do the same also. I don't know if I can ride for two hours currently though, which is why I need to start getting practice and more exercise. I am not planning on doing this soon, it's gonna be in like 2 years or so. I am gonna do a lot of planning and research. Maybe even start buying things.

I'll look into the lock, I'll probably need to get a big ass chain also. You can never really be to safe like you said, it would suck to get the bike stolen and have to catch a flight or something back home.

These trailers look pretty good but they're a bit expensive. They seem to bring their own bags also. Need one that will hold the pack that i'll be using when traveling on foot, and maybe more space for other things.
>>
>>981399
Here's a cheaper version of a touring trailer.
https://www.aosom.com/sporting-goods/aosom-solo-single-wheel-bicycle-cargo-bike-trailer.html?utm_source=google_shopping&gclid=Cj0KEQjw2fLGBRDopP-vg7PLgvsBEiQAUOnIXNn8xBufbCt4nCcgK7WYcHgjBujQVJRmeJsoal6HjsUaAl5T8P8HAQ

The bags are just rain covers, I put my Osprey Atmos in my BOB yak trailer and have the bag removed. A chain is definitely doable, probably better than the regular bike cable. If you go without a trailer just be warned to not overpack or else you'll get flats a lot.
>>

Being social can be important for a bum, or at least it is for me. If you are relying on people to give you rides or money it makes things easier to develop some social skills.

This can be a good thing, as you learn really goddamn quickly in a sink or swim scenario.

Personally, if I feel extremely lonely I will set up camp for a month and find a temporary job. It will let you be social while also giving you pocket change. You can meet some cool people that way, and then you can go back to traveling. I'm surprised how many ex-bums I've met working. You don't need friends to not feel lonely, just social interaction.

As a side note, I always wondered why I saw bums talking to themselves, until I became one.
>>
>>984010
>You don't need friends to not feel lonely
Idk man I used to be OK with the temporality of vagabond socialization but now IVe been doing it for a while and its starting to wear on me. Out of all the people ive met in the road I've never made what I consider a true friend. Theres people who I would like to see again but we parted ways after not much time in the grand scheme of things. When I was younger I had friends for years but now I'm truthfully friends with no one, not even my old friends, because I just dont see the point anymore. Im too much of a lame spergo to have fun times anymore. Ive hit a brick wall and then hit a second brick wall which is the realization that I hit the first. I hooe I'm just being cynical but I feel this strongly
>>
>>984035
>Im too much of a lame spergo to have fun times anymore.
With that outlook, I'm not surprised.

I can understand it wearing down on you, I know that feel, but if you wanted more permanent relationships then the nomad lifestyle might just not be your thing. There is no shame in settling and building a somewhat normal life if that is what makes you happier. There was a guy about 3 cities back from where I am now that was an ex-bum and he, for example, settled down in a neighborhood specifically because they were all ex-bums an had each other's backs. Like a neighborhood commune, I guess. From what I gathered from talking to some of them, they were in the same boat as you are.

I can't tell you how to magically solve your problems, this is obviously something you will need to solve yourself, but nothing will get better by itself.

Usually when the sun goes down till ten or eleven at night. I prefer to wait until most of the businesses close, some get upset if you come around in the midday. You can dumpster all night really if the conditions are right, in some places being out late might draw unwanted attention on yourself from numerous places. In areas where people dumpster regularly it's good to get out there sooner than later.

>theos chocolate dumpster in Seattle
>>
>>984577
Are big chains good places to dumpster dive? Places like Walmart or Target?
>>
>>984615
If they don't have trash compactors
>>
>>984615
Like the other anon said, if they don't have a trash compactor, but I don't think so even then. The biggest ones aren't really worth a damn, Walmart Target, etc.. smaller places though, Big Lots, PetCo and the like, they're alright sometimes. Starbucks is good sometimes for food/coffee. I prefer to dumpster apartments/college areas. Dumpstering isn't about just going where they might throw things out or to every Dumpster and completely going through them. There's an art or science to maximizing your profit/time spent digging in actual stuff. Most of it is identifying what's in a Dumpster when you open it.

If any of you guys want to drive trucks instead of being homeless you should call up western express in TN.

They will hire anyone. And i mean anyone. They even hire people straight out of prison. And they train too.

Not gonna lie. Truck driving sucks. I've done it before. It's basically like being homeless except you are getting paid for being homeless.
>>
>>984774
A buddy of mine just did that, worked for six months and ended up losing money because of what he owed on the classes.

If anyone is considering driving truck, plan on basically working for free for the first year.
>>
>>984779
That's because he quit within a year. You have to stay with them at least 1 year or they wont pick up the tab for the schooling.
>>
>>984805
Exactly. Most people who live on the road do it because we don't want to be doing the same thing every day. Risking being in the hole for thousands of dollars after working practically non-stop for six months isn't a smart move for someone who doesn't like making long-term commitments.

I'm not saying that it's not smart for some people, just probably not the type of people you'd find frequenting /hg/.
>>
>>984814
It is an option though if you dont mind traveling and being away from home and you can stay at least a year.

I drove for about 4 months with another company but just got tired of living on the road. Trucking is an overreugulated industry and all the good companies want 1 year exp. And they wonder why there is a driver shortage...
>>
>>984774
But anon i already get paid for being homeless

Fuck trucking desu ive had tons of truckers try to convert me. I dont need thousands in the bank for the next 5 years of my life. Id rather fuck off and get paid daily playing music so i can fuck off harder and live innawoods.
>>
>>984827
Im 33 years old. Ive done just about everything. One thing i can say is imo everything sucks. Homelesness sucks. Wage cucking sucks. Truck driving sucks. It all sucks. Life is like a long drawn out period of suck and then you die.

If I can rock it out and love my life as a bum you should at least be able to get to a place where you don't have to say everything sucks. The world is absolutely fucked it's true and the only changes you'll ever be able to make are to yourself so you should encourage people to do what makes them happy without a disclaimer first.

To all of those young bums who don't want to suck dick but want to get their dick sucked, you are in luck. As it happens, some bums will try to suck your dick.

Forcefully.

Just some advice, always carry a knife.
>>
>>985408
What's a good knife for a bum? A switch blade?
>>
>>985410
Switch blades are illegal in some states. That doesn't most people, reasonably, but it is something to be aware of.

Personally I carry 1 folding knife on me, and if it is a bad area I carry a 5" blade in a sheath on my side. I also keep 2 spare folding knives as I frequently lose my knives. Otherwise, I have about 3 utility knives I keep in my bag. I tend to lose those too.

A folding knife should be all you need, maybe 4-5". Too small and it won't be threatening, too large and it will be too threatening. Too short and it won't do enough damage if you have to use it, too large and you either hit legal problems.

You could always become a Sikh and carry a sword, that'd be cool.

I have a bunch of knives. I post them in the knife threads here and on /k/

Knives have been great for me, traveling around lets me find all the best deals for resell later on. For example, I found a Benchmade 940-1 on CL for $100 that had just been posted. Went and bought it for 100, selling it tomorrow for $210. I have given away over $1k worth of knives to other travelers over the years, including the people I have met through /out/
Nothing like arming bums with Benchmades and ZTs. I've given away 6 different ka bar beckers, a couple case knives, three ZTs, 4 Benchmades, a Spyderco, a LTWK, a Leatherman and a couple of cheap Sanrenmus. That's not even touching the hundreds i've resold for profit.
As far as the ones I keep around, I have a few that aren't going anywhere. Two camp knives one large one small, three folders, and a skinning knife. No one over 18 should ever worry about their knife being too large. The shit you have to worry about is the assisted opening/automatics especially if you have a few of them. Even shitty $5 gas station switchblades can get you locked up depending where you are, so if you're traveling just stick to manuals.

Maybe, but there's a difference between choosing to be homeless for the /out/ experience and being straight gutter trash. For instance I've met some of the coolest people in my life on the app trail for a month, but odds are good not a single one of them would look very highly of the bum lifestyle because, lets face it, its the lowest pit of degeneracy a human can obtain. Nobody, even fellow /out/doorsman should have to tolerate people living on their private property and begging for scraps. It clearly breaks any moderate moral rule of society.
>>
Oh boy! This is my chance to talk about how much I hate these threads
>>
>>987327
Unfortunately /out/ has decided to tolerate them. Though I have the feeling that may be changing since it always stinks up the whole board. Very much similar to real life I suppose.
>>
>>987452
Its not that I hate the threads per se, because some of the outdoorsman ideas can be pretty based since these peasants choose to actually 'live' on the dirt, but because it always attracts the general homeless gutter bullshit. That's why no one wants then around in the real world, because they have no concept of morality and in general are just a sink to everything around them. Wherever they go, degenerate swaths of shit follow. No trail hiker wants to camp in a fucking parking lot and have to fucking beg just to get through the week. This place is the shitstain of /out/
>>
>>987458

>Going to use different entrances and exits regularly so as to not leave a noticeable path

Wew. Someone might have actually listened to your idiotic rantings if they weren't so obviously idiotic.

Tone it down a few decibels, make arguments that are at least semi-believable, drop the grade-school antics, and try again. No one wants to play with the obvious troll; this is 4Chan, we like a challenge!

Newfag as fuck, reddit spacing and all. Get a backpack and go outside you edgy fuck, you're what, 20? Life is what you make of it. You haven't even fucked up, you're just too lazy to fuck up.

Imagine that. You don't even have any 'I went down this path and you shouldn't' stories because you haven't bothered to go down any path. Whatever it is that you do, do it the best you can. If you play vidya, don't settle for playing the game on easy. If you read books, don't spend all your time reading dimestore novels. Here on 4chan everyone is autistically good at whatever it is we do. If you're gonna be a pussy scumbag, be the best pussy scumbag there ever was. But at least be something faggot.

Fresh off the boat, from reddit, kid? heh I remember when I was just like you. Braindead. Lemme give you a tip so you can make it in this cyber sanctuary: never make jokes like that. You got no reputation here, you got no name, you got jackshit here. It's survival of the fittest and you ain't gonna survive long on 4chan by saying stupid jokes that your little hugbox cuntsucking reddit friends would upboat. None of that here. You don't upboat. You don't downboat. This ain't reddit, kid. This is 4chan. We have REAL intellectual discussion, something I don't think you're all that familiar with. You don't like it, you can hit the bricks on over to imgur, you daily show watching son of a bitch. I hope you don't tho. I hope you stay here and learn our ways. Things are different here, unlike any other place that the light of internet pop culture reaches. You can be anything here. Me ? heh, I'm a judge.. this place.... this place has a lot to offer... heh you'll see, kid . . . that is if you can handle it..

Get temporary work; either day work or, the more fulfilling option, a month's work somewhere. Just find some place with cool people working and apply whenever the hiring manager is there.
Go chat with other hobos or bums (they most likely feel the same thing).
Learn how to meet people and hold regular conversations.
Keep up with people you meet by phone, text, or internet and chat with them on occasion.

If the both of you are so goddamn lonely, exchange information and talk to each other, damn it.
