So, how often do you go /out/ on average?
Im including everything from day hikes so month long journeys
Naturally its only a weekend every so often for me but obviously depends on weather.
Also activities during scOUT sessions?
myself just building on our tent structure, just chucking palm fronds on an thats about it..
then fishing or chilling an playing cards
just curious sc/out/s
heres a fucking awesome webm for the scene
(on a side note if anyone can give me some DSLR settings for night photography id be in your debt....i can fuck about and get some alright shots but nothing on this level. I think i might need a better lense at base before i try nighttime photography but whatever. Lol)
I was on the snow riding 17 days of January... only at work for 9. Rest of the days were travel.
In the winter I'm out just about every weekend. Summer is when I take care of projects around the house, but still get out on the moto an evening or two a week and take a weekend or two a month to go ride.
From the looks of the webm, you know what you're doing. Maybe a little longer exposure/bigger aperture/higher ISO to up the exposure a bit.
A little bit of external light from a headlight/flashlight can make something pop out more too.
I work outside everyday too. Well, from the truck to outside for a bit and then into a building. Sometimes it can suck. But I can't stand being couped up inside all day.
I try and get out fishing at least once a week. Lately with this cooler weather, the largemouth have been biting good. So I have been going out on weekdays if I get off work early enough. 3-4 days a week. But I go fishing at lakes that are still in populated areas. I haven't gone /out/ into some good wilderness in years and years, let alone spending the night there.
Pretty much only during the summer when I work. I used to enjoy the Minnesota winters as a kid and teen but now I don't care
The rest of the year I am a depressed shut-in whose only shining light is the thought of getting to spend another summer hiking or canoeing or spending the summer in the middle of nowhere. I won't know for a month or so where we'll be working but already I am planning and organizing my stuff.
This summer it's likely to be in the Boundary Waters
I don't have the opportunity to do a lot of overnight things but I walk and day hike a lot (at least one long walk every week), a few hours of archery every weekend and occasional kayaking, swimming and fishing. I'd really like to get into camping more often.
