Hey /out/
So I do a bit of hiking and hunting fairly regularly, but only really day trips and a little bit of overnight camping here and there.
I really want to start doing more hiking/trekking as in longer/multiple day trips. Looking to start out with overnighters and then go longer as I get more experienced, but I don't have much of an idea where to start, especially as far as gear goes, so if I could get some help with the basics that would be awesome. Just looking for a list of what gear I need, and maybe some decent brands.
I'm a pretty minimalist type of dude, but I don't want to try going ultralight as a beginner and make a huge mistake.
Currently for day trips I take the very basics in either a shoulder bag or a little backpack: water (depending on how long I'm going, usually 1.5-2L), food (generally just a packet of nuts and a packet of jerky), and a first aid kid. On my person I have a little first aid kit that fits in a pocket and has a little multitool in it, as well as my phone and wallet.
If I'm going hunting usually I'll also have: rifle, about 20rnds, plastic bags, alcohol wipes, knife, and bigger ziplock bags (all for field dressing).
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys, I've been meaning to get out for more hiking and start doing longer trips for ages, but Since I've been doing more hiking than hunting I'm loving it.

Aren't you worried about abbos? I heard they can keep charging after taking like 5 rounds to the chest, provided there is enough blood in there alcohol stream.
