You made me notice how fucked up they were, wew.
found it abandoned on a long walk i took through what in colonial times was called the old "cedar meadow" in the woods around my house on a warm indian summer day. now it's the creepiest most blair witchy forest around, and still has gnarly boney old stands of cedar trees that completely blackout the forest floor in spots. comfy if not somewhat confronting.
Anyone got any comfy winters?
>>1081047
Maybe not exactly /out/ but comfy enough, here's where I spent the winter
>>1082357
How that truck get there?
>>1082972
dunno m8, abandoned at some point. long enough ago where you'd have to build a new road to get it out.
>>1082644
>>1083474
Goddamn imagine actually living in that house

don't have time to go through photos right now but here's a collage I made awhile ago of various outings. Some of them are cumpfy, some are spooky, some aren't.

idunno, this one makes me sad
This was a very comfortable morning at the Hiker Hostel in Georgia. Just sitting there on the porch talking to people i'm just meeting from all over the world. We never would've met in life any other way, but our love for backpacking and challenge brought us together that day. The sun felt so good that morning. I wonder where those people are today, if they made it ( I did not)
made this today, super comfy with a few flannels inside
>>1084191
I usually need some whiskey to sleep while /out/ but damn I could fall asleep listening to that in seconds
>>1084946
How to make a comfy image unnerving.
Here's my comfy. Mountain refuge style. First shower in 7 days, first cold beer in the same amount of time. Stomach full of good food, watching the sun set as you smoke a pipe.
>>1085551
Nice. You should try camping out 100 feet or so from a swamp in spring/early summer and that's what it'll sound like, at least until it gets cool enough for them to burrow in for the night. Only problem with that is skeetos and lots of animals frequent the water's edge at night so there might be a bit of raccoon, durr, burr, etc traffic.
Comfy moose chillin under my deck
>be at a place called Sletten, owned by the Danish scouts
>only 3 of us sleep in this tent because everyone was afraid of tent in the snow
>go to sleep with clear weather
>wake up to this winter wonderland
>it was on the day of Trumps election
>my buddy L comes zippers up the Lavvu taps me on the foot and whispers
>"the god emporer won" and snickered to himself and gestured for me to come outside
>had such a fucking good time going to the smelly barn the others slept in and just basking in the butthurt, an election in a foreign country that they had nothing to do with pissed them off the to point of anger
>then we baked cinnamon roles on the tent stove
such a good time, i will never forget it, one of my best /out/ memories, i dont care much for politics, i was equally looking forward to Hilary winning so i could see the Trump butthurt. but the combo of waking up to that beautiful winter wonderland and the butthurt of nearly everyone else was glorious, fun that everyone who slept in the tent either didn't care, or kinda supported trump, but everyone who chose to sleep in the barn thinks he is hitler
>over feeding the tent stove so it gets nice and warm
>you sleep TOO good and wake up shivering with the stove filled with nothing but ash
SAD

Had pretty good lights innawoods the last time, the pic doesn't really do justice to how it was but I like it
>>1081047
Also this, I was following a trail in France and it wasn't really pure /out/, more like doing the Camino de Santiago, as I was walking on a road mostly surrounded by vineyards
But when the sun was setting, the heat of the day finally receeding, the small moment when the day time bugs stopped making their noises and before the night time ones took over felt very lonely and comfy and although I was obviously in an inhabited place there was no one in sight
>>1085912
no problem If you have a hammock with a bugnet
>pic related
>>1088303
Pretty much, unless you're unlucky with durr and burr passing through.

This was the view from the porch of my shelter. It had some nice chairs and two levels and I had it all to myself. After a long day of hiking I just plopped right down with a book and the sunset over the mountains.
"Walking had been easy, because his knapsack was nearly empty and he had no worries on his mind. He felt happy about the wood and the weather, and himself. Tomorrow and yesterday were both at a distance, and just at present the sun was shining brightly between the birches, and the air was cool and soft"

There's a McMansion right on this spot now :c
Just a 2 mile hike into mount Wrightson's wilderness, but it takes about half an hour of 4 wheeling and for some reason nobody ever goes near this little trail. Madera canyon on the west side attracts all the normies, leaving secluded places on the east perfect for easy romantic /out/ings with the gf or just to isolate yourself for a bit. 4wd being a requirement helps too.

Taken in Austria near Hallstatt, after 3 or 4 beers and fresh trout caught from a lake behind me, it honeslty was in my top 5 comfiest moments. Sat there for hours with some buddies.
Taken at a lift in a ski station; some people hate them but they're pretty comfortable
I used to take slow/long ones on purpose to enjoy the views and listen to some music
Flaming Gorge is super /comfy/ when the god damn motor boaters get the fuck off the water. I don't understand why everyone leaves before the sun sets, but I appreciate that it happens.
I spent the sunset listening to Neil Young and watching it set behind the red cliffs while lounging in my kayak.
Maximum /comfy/
Cant wait for winter lads

Tonight's full moon over Lake Ontario

Maybe not if If you interpret "comfy" to literally mean "comfortable", but I've always loved the stark beauty of both desert and snowscapes.

Are there any comfy /out/ games I can stream on my stupid Twitch channel? I thought Firewatch and Stardew Valley but other than those I'm not sure. I get bored at night so I figured instead of just consuming media I could somewhat produce it to zero to one viewer.

>>1096371
another one I took today while in Yellowstone. huge heard of buffalo were grazing by this lake. You can kinda make some of them out in the distance
>>1094969
Where is this? What kind of work did you do? I'm interested in something like this. Any suggestions?
>>1096406
It was taken in the Arcs ski ressort, in France
I was just a dishwasher in a huge hotel, payed minimum wage but I had a free room and meals included so managed to save some money.
Also had advantages like a ridiculously low price for a seasonal ski pass and free gear, and since I worked only during meal times I had every afternoon free to ski
>Any suggestions?
Assuming you are from the USA, I have no idea how it works there to get this kind of job.
Here a viable option is just printing tons of CV, taking your car before the season starts and touring all the major ressorts until you find a job. Most of my friends do that, although I was hired differently.
Being hired at ski lifts companies or shops is harder, but if you are looking into restaurants and stuff you are bound to find something.
>>1096359
Thx. This was taken in Palomar Mountain, California

This is a ten minute walk from my house, miles upon miles of it.
I grew up in this place, caught my first fish, spent my first night camping here, made countless dens, hunted rabbits, shit I got my first blowjob on a patch of this grass!
Nothing makes me feel more at home and more comfy then this place.

I've rode my motorbike on it years ago but they've put all gates all over to stop it, I mtb here quite often though.
