How are Honda still bothering with normal telescopic forks on $10K bikes? USD development is far enough along now that they should barely bump the cost up.

They can fit up a UJM with EFI, ABS, slipper clutches as standard, but they still give you forks from the 90s (and twin pot calipers making the ABS redundant on the front).

Seeing as they are making a packet getting these things assembled by heroin addicted 10 year olds in Bangkok, they could give people some radial calipers and USD forks.

Ducati can do it for about $1K extra and they aren't anywhere near the volume seller Honda is, plus all their shit is still made in Italy.

Honda is all about boring reliability. Standard fork will fill run until it becomes a pogo stick. USD will squirt all over it's brakes as soon as first grain of sand enters the seal.
>>
>>17858327
Actually Europe gets a more modern styled CB500 which is made to fit A2 precisely. The next bigger one is the CB650 and then the CB1100.

I think it is primarily designed for the learner legal market in Australia. 50-60hp as standard, so you can skimp on the suspension and brakes (it's not going to be going all that fast).

The Hornet was a UJM with decent kit. I don't think this is a genuine replacement for the old 600 (wasn't that just a detuned CBR600 motor?)

ALL the big four have used both Showa and KYB (Kuyaba) over the years. They go back and forth. cf. the First getn sv650 wore KYB, second gen wore Showa. As I recall, part of the reason was frustration with the KYB fork seals failing within the warrantee period.

Maybe another adv, but those are too high (he gets the lowered GSAs). His old GSA had a tank he managed to get 35L in. And even then he had to fill up every other day, just commuting.
Also he is and always will be a BMW guy, he rides them for almost 40 years now.

Technically yes, realistically no because you can ride them on a car license or no license at all in some places, which makes them lack the initiation rituals of learning to ride as well as the exclusivity of motorcycles.
>>
>>17859510
Well if it makes you feel any better, in Texas you have to get a Class M license for any two-wheeled vehicle. I took my motorcycle safety course in 2013 on a Royal Enfield and have ridden many a bike since then. I like my scooter as a daily driver because it's cheap and economical though.
>>
>>17859525

If you're on a scoot because you can't get on a bigger bike yet then I can respect it, but you won't get any if you pick them over a bigger bike.
>>
>>17859541
Do you mean can't as in economically, or ability wise? I can ride motorcycles, I just can't really afford one right now.
>>
>>17859554

So you can't realistically ride one right now. What I mean is if you, for whatever reasons currently can't ride a motorcycle and can only go for a scoot that's fine, but if you could have a motorbike but still choose scoot, then it's a bit lame.

Nah, that can't be it, they're already the best. I have a hard time telling Suzuki and Yamaha apart, but I think it's Yamaha.

Just spray it all over (lightly). Find areas where it has collected and created drops and use a rag to disperse it evenly where that is the case. You don't need much. Also, realise its a bitch to clean after the salt season is over.

Just bought this for 450, all it needed to run was a new battery. It's a 93 XJ600

I'm wondering where are all the pussies that told me I wouldn't have been able to start off on a nervous twin cylinder 2 stroke supersports bike like pic related.
Been riding for a week now that I made it street legal and I'm having a great time learning to lean it properly and smoking the usual 125cc's.
I feel sad for those who wish they had the balls to jump on this scary thing and have to limit themselves to some shitty bandit hoping one day to have enough courage to move on to something they actually like after spending a fortune on progressively more challenging "beginner bikes".
