If the wood chipper you're talking about is about the same size I have seen around my city, that's definitely something to be proud of. Small trailers are actually a lot harder to back compared to 53' semi trailers. The short equipment reacts so quickly to any steering wheel movement one tends to jackknife the equipment if you're not paying attention.

Do you have a class B or C license for that work? Are you hoping to get a class A at some point, and move up to that? Local work is definitely comfy if you can find a good gig.

Question: Why don't more flatbedders use Conestogas? Somebody pointed out the differences between one and a curtainside several threads ago, so I figured I'd ask the correct question this time. Don't even have that many mods. A few minor tweaks like Realistic Building Lights v2.2, Schwarzmüller trailers in traffic and liftable axles for default trailers.

I also have a few trailer mods, the one pictured in the other post is the Kraker Walking Floor v1.3. Another really high quality trailer mod is the Krone Container 4axe (sic), currently on v1.27, but not causing any noticable problems in game version 1.28. The Krone 4Achs Jumbo v1.27 is neat as well, but it's having some issues with metal surfaces appearing black in game version 1.28.

Trucks I rotate through as I see fit. The one in that picture is the Freightliner FLD v1.5. Absolutely flawless except for a headlight misplacement that's really bugging me.

Currently I'm using the Volvo VNL670 v1.5.2 made for game version 1.27 with a hot fix for game version 1.28, but it sometimes has issues with incorrectly colored metal surfaces as well.

Another high quality truck mod is the Kenworth K200 v14.0 for game version 1.27, not causing problems in game version 1.28 either, and of course the RJL Scania 2.2.1 ready for game version 1.28.

Map mods I haven't gotten into at all so far, but I might install Promods at some point in the future.

99% of OTR gigs pay by the mile. Shit ones pay by the mile as the crow flies, sometimes they'll even shaft you further by calculating from nearest ZIP code boundary of shipper to consignee.
