Race bikes can be comfy anon. You have to use your muscle just to sit on one, but some bikes come with a good bar angle, not too much drop, and softer/wider/more properly sloped seats than others.

I have to get fork seals and maybe a steering stem bearing done on my 1999 SV650 so autism got the better of me while I was at work and I called 23 shops in a hour radius (NYC Metro Area) for a simple job.

They also gave a great explanation as to why the bike's forks were pogoing (ran low on oil, below emulators). Their initial price seems along the average ($350 for forks alone) so I'm happy.

When I had my bike, I rode year-round. I live in KY and we get a lot of ice storms. I just put on some heavy ass winter jacket and snow pants and scarf, I put pocket warmers in my gloves and I feel pretty comfy when I ride. Only time I don't ride is when there's ice on the roads.

i did and the distance from the axle to the swingarm pivot bolt is the same when i set the chain adjusters in the same setting lets say 30mm left and 30 right
i know it shouldnt be 13mm less to the right, i can visually confirm the wheel is not straight but with this setting the bike doesnt lean by itself

I was in a /dbt/ thread a week or so ago and I asked for advice on buying a grom for my first bike. Decided to get the grom my dudes. Still need to insure, register and get a license. Bike has a yoshi exhaust from the previous owner, everything else is stock.

I miss the torque of the Duc, and its willingness to stand it up whenever, wherever in any gear. I'm not used to higher strung engines. I feel like the front wheel of the Ape is nailed to the floor.

it chugs and shakes like mad when the revs are too low.

When the revs are high it just feels and sounds kinda meh, but as I said, when its in the sweet spot the torque is just nuts and it feels good.

Definitely a marmite sort of engine, but I'm alright with it.

The nice thing is that fuel consumption is barely affected, you can keep it in gear 3 or 4 in the twisties and it will return the same mpg as gear 6 on the highway.
