I crashed my 70cc 2t moped tons of times. At top speed, pulling wheelies, sideswiped by a car, rammed in the back by a car, generally dumb shit.
Other than a few minor scars came out all okay. Purely anecdotal of course but it didn't feel life threatening unsafe. Unless you get run over or something, that being the exception.

It's because it's financed but before you call me retarded I wasn't the dumbass that financed a new bike as their first bike despite someone telling them to get one used. I'm going to go for a ride today without insurance regardless and take some pics before I give it back to the person tomorrow. They don't even want the bike anymore and signed the financing contract on a whim. But unfortunately she can't sign me the title because the bank has it. She offered to though. I'm going to save up for something else for next spring.

Yeah that's the bike I'm talking about. 320cc 2016 Yamaha R3. It's a beautiful bike and I'm sure it can wheelie versus my old CBR250R and it runs smooth as butter. It's hard for me to give it up but I can't have a bike that's illegal to ride in my garage tempting me everyday weighing on my mind. After I made up my mind I was surprised how relieved I felt. Dumb cunt owner had me paying for parts and working on mods and repairs on it, though it was out of my own personal obligation.

Someone listed the two side fairing pieces up on eBay new for 100$, online and stealers charge $300 but she still didn't want to fork out something to repair it. I even offered to pay half for her plus installation.

Here's hoping I don't crash or get caught by police while I ride out today or tomorrow morning.

I went for a ride today to the part of my city I've never been to before. It turned out that there's absolutely nothing to see there. Whatever, I was coming home fighting though traffic and there it was - huge intersection with no left turn. You can only go right, to the bridge, go across the river, turn right, right, right again, let pedstrians pass twice, back to the bridge - that's 3 streetlights - and back to the intersection to pass forward.

Mechanic on both who disagrees, and bikes are easier to learn on for new mechanics. I totally encourage learning to wrench because it changes your life.

Do not be intimidated by carbs. Do use factory service manual, Jewtoob vidyas and forums to study before each maintenance or repair task.

If not sure what to do, stop then find out what to do. The gobs of money you save pay for any tools you might need, and you keep the tools so it's all win.

Never do shitty wiring or wiring repairs.

I can teach a potato to clean carbs. Work on a tray (aluminum disposable pans are handy) and have bright light handy. I wear cheap LED headlamps for most of my work though my shops are well lit.

Get JIS screwdrivers. The screws on Jap carbs are not Phillips or Reed and Prince. This set is so good I bought two:

Never use anything but correct flat tip screwdrivers on carb jets. You need "hollow ground" (typical of replaceable bit screwdrivers) flat tip bits. See "gunsmith screwdrivers" for what those look like.

Why are Arais the biggest piece of shit helmets to work on? Don't get me wrong great shell terrible liner with cheek pads that look like fucking origami to put in place right. And a shield mechanism created by satan himself.

I work on them daily and is the hardest part of my day. Especially since 90% of their owners can't even put the helmet together and rely on others.

keep in mind br/o/s. Be generous and patient with whoever has to handle your fucking puzzle for a helmet. End rant.

However I do enjoy my Corsair X and X-14. Although guess which one actually can fit a Sena into it.

Is wearing a headphones good alternative to earplugs? I noticed that my earbuds fits quite well under the helmet, so I could listen to music during rides, but I don't want to get Tinnitus after many years of driving. Is it safe to use headphones instead of foam earplug hear protection?

My rear tyre is fucked, no rubber left in center.

Going to be commuting daily in UK, some motorway some small country roads, heaps of rain.

Does it matter if I dont swap out the front too for a matching pair? My gut says it will be fine but I've read otherwise, possibly by people with more disposable income than me..
