It's spelled "peeling".

If you want a sticker that only has [the letters] you would first peel off the back, stick it on, then use the back of a screwdriver or something to rub [the letters] in (so it sticks) before slowly peeling the front off.

If someone did that then it should probably come with directions which says above - and / or a youtube search query. If someone fucks up then its on them and they'll be buying another but it's pretty straight forward.
