If you like pretty things that go fast like me, and don't really mind if your bike leaks some to all of the fluids some to all of the time:
Ducati
MV Agusta
Aprilia
Everything else

More normal tiering based on reliability and whether or not it's a "good" bike:
Japanese
German
Austrian
British/Italian
American
Indian
Chinese

Ariel did that
The VFR is hampered by the shaft drive, but removing that kills the DCT
The NC is about the same configuration as the mt, without a rev limiter it should make at least 70hp

Look for a KTM 640 LC4. Cheap as dirt in Europe. Does great on-road. Pretty good off-road. Reason I say "pretty good" isn't really the bike's fault, it's just that it's too aggressive to be considered a dual-sport and not to heavy to be considered a real enduro.

I can appreciate a cafe racer that's actually done right. Lots of them are just some hipster's hackjob project that they dove into without any prior experience in any sort of metalworking, fabrication, or painting so they look like shit when you get close to them.

I think bosozoku bikes are ugly as sin but they're also rather humorous looking so I get a chuckle every time I see a picture of one just because of how ridiculous they are. That's kind of the point of them I guess. I've also never seen one in person so I have no idea what the ratio of well done bosozoku bikes : hackjob bosozoku bikes is.
>>
>>17418404
I just clean it with a little bit of liquid dish soap and water. Wheel grunge gets sprayed down with a degreaser like simple green and then scrubbed off. Wipe plastics / metals dry with a microfiber cloth after rinsing. I like to use lemon or orange Pledge (the furniture polish) for plastics, it makes them really shiny and also smells good. Doesn't work as well on metal parts but you can try it.
>>
>>17419057
The whole point of a cafe racer was to make a shitty slow bike go fast by any means necessary. A cafe racer that's fucked up is probably more realistic than one done well

>>
>>17419068
Yes, I know that was the original purpose. Modern "cafe racer" culture is all about aesthetics though; they're not trying to make the bike go faster, they rarely even mess with the engine / carbs / air intake / exhaust and just chop frames down to install custom seats, paint the bike in a retro fashion, and put some clip-ons on it.

>>
>>17418398
Boso are carrying on the tradition of their own people, their dads and grandads. What they are doing has no direct equivalent. Boso is like american choppers and bobbers. Your dad did it, your dad's dad did it, it's not super functional but it looks cool when it's authentic.

Cafe racer fags are imitating a youth rebellion from overseas, which was british kids chopping up their commuter bikes to look more like the race bikes of the day. If you want to carry on their spirit, buy a sportbike, which is a replica of the racers of today.
>>
>>17418588
yes

they're either just tourer bikes with sporty fairings or modern bikes with the ergos, weight, and performance of dated supersports. save your money and buy an 80s GSXR 750.
>>
>>17419358
>modifying your shitty commuter bike to make something individual and unique is the same thing as buying an off-the-shelf race replica

>>
>>17419367
The original cafe racers were only made because there was no off the shelf racer.

It's all about image now. The people who would have been making cafe racers in the 20th century are buying racers today. The people who would have been sucking rocker cock in the 20th century are making cafe racers now.

>>modifying your shitty commuter bike to make something individual and unique

so why not make a chopper/bobber instead of copying dead british subcultures? why do you hate your own country and heritage?

cafe racers are only acceptable if you are british.
>>
>>17419376
If you are goin fast enough to lose your liscence why not just run?
>>
>>17419382
because cruisers are for queers
bobbers are acceptable if done right

Chopper = fancy bobber.

Cruisers get cut down because they're covered in dumb looking shit, as pictured.

At first I was pretty happy with my trials bike, hopping around the forest behind my parents house. Unbelievable fun and so lightweight, awesome.

What's the matter with KTM LC4?
It doesn't exactly brake down, but it keeps needing various retarded fixes. Engine randomly dies in neutral. Timing sight starts leaking oil. Engine starts popping excessively. Overheats and shuts down in slow traffic.

Or is it the cursed Mikuni BST-40 carb? Suzuki DR640 seems to be doing fine with it. Is it the vibrations messing thing up?

That way you could just say you never saw the lights if they do get your plates, unless it was obvious that you saw them chasing you. When i was speeding and drove past a cop i took the next street and just took a bunch of turns through town and parked at timmies. I figure it wont count as running from the cops since i never would have seen their lights

What a maroon.

Because I was just walking in to tell them I'm here for the maintenance, he rushed out and started moving the handlebars before I could say a word

>>17420210
Hindsight is 20/20 , he's not completely in the wrong but it's still a line of deep scratches on a brand new visor

>stopping a motorcycle with the rear brake

anyways the extra wheel has no functioning brake and isnt driven either.

i actually googled that shit once.
>>
>>17420105
That doesn't mean anything. How much does it weight?
>>
>>17420220
Last time I was at a shop I removed everything on my bike before walking in.
Just in case not the guy behind the reception is the one moving it.
>>
>>17420210
But why, though?

>>17420242
Haha no, the foam doesnt compress without something inside of it. You can probably throw a helmet at the ground and it would be safe to ride in. If you crashed and got bopped on the head, it's toast.
>>
>>17420197
I thought they just announced a 2018 run?
>>
>>17420263
I only use it for mid corner speed scrubbing and in low traction settings like grass and dirt.

It's useless if you're braking hard. Unless your bike is 800lbs I guess, idk about cruisers, but they aren't really important.

armchair travelr pleb detected
>>
>>17420263
i use it to ease into corners

thats about it, the rest can be done with engine-braking for slow approaching and front brakes for actually braking.
>>
whats it like to sit on a cruiser?
>>
>>17420299
like sitting on a enormous black dildo stuck on the middle setting but with less suspension.

They did, hopefully Scarlet Johanneson's ass is good for something this time.

>>
>>17419818
Fact. There's always something critically wrong with them. There was one I was talking to that was into me, 7.5/10 qt, musically talented, some insecurities but that's ok, rode a 250 dualsport.. and then I found out she was clinically depressed&bipolar and had "a breeding/impregnantion fetish". Prolly fucked like a champ but I ain't risking kids at 23 lol

Like the other anon said you're buying something from a company that has opted for brand recognition rather than quality. They're not the shit of the 70s and 80s but nowhere near what people that sing their praises claim.
