>>

as many as it took for the Porsche guy to find the hospital it was taken to
>>
>>17042325
Same up here, and I'm in the US.

Every now and then you see red/white/orange, probably because they crashed and bought new plastics. Also, all the riders are either white or the whitest non-whites you'll ever meet.

>>17042454
The "trail bike" niche for light offroading disappeared. Dual sports are basically detuned MX bikes, and people dislike that because it's all maintenance-hungry, underpowered thumpers and super tall suspensions all the way down. Adventure/rally/scrambler bikes are just the return of the trailie, for people that don't pretend they tackle technical single track and trials courses every time they leave the garage.
>>
>>17042454
The adv bikes?
They are great to tour with, on perfectly smooth to fire roads.

Basically tour bikes with high suspension and wheels that fit off road tires.

Much like the xt660 i think that's the kind of bike that grows on you but certainly is not impressive at the first try.

However if i had to ride down thousands of kilometers with maybe offroad/bad weather i'd take one against any other "adventure bike" no question, incredible reliability and comfort.

( i bought a tiger1200 instead for the incredible motor and because i never offroad but i sometimes wish i could just go around a forest road and have some camping fun a country away from home)

They're for riding long distances on highways or back roads loaded up with a weeks worth of camping shit, then when you get to bumfuck nowhere riding through gravel and fire roads to get to your campsite. They aren't dirtbikes, just an off-road oriented tourer, just like sport tourers are sport oriented tourers, and cruisers are noise oriented tourers.

Or they're for commuting to work and telling people about long way round.

My duke doesn't vibe much. It's pretty non-buzzy. The only comfort problem I've had is the seat. I spent the bucks for the "powerparts" seat, which is good enough to tour on.

44 claimed crank HP, and the dyno curves I've seen are 39-41, so that seems right. Suspension has 6 inches travel at both ends, with light preload and very progressive springs, as is the modern style, so it feels firm in the twisties and surprisingly plush jumping curbs.

That shitpost has been around a while. KTM has a huge share of the US offroad market, so there is no shortage of pics of broken bikes. My bikes been fine so far, so meh.

Well guys, I am fucking HYPED right now. For those of you that do not know, the 2004-2007 Ninja 250s were part of a massive recall through Kawasaki due to a manufacturing defect where one of the fairings screws can perforate the gas tank. Yes, this supposed Japanese master race actually made one of the fairings mounting points ON the 1 centimeter thick gas tank. So if you overtorqued it, lost the rubber gromet, or used literally any other fairing screw when re-assembling the fairings, you would drill a nice hole into your gas tank.

Anyways, despite it being 12 years later, Kawasaki is still honoring these recalls and I just dropped my bike off at the dealership where they are getting me a brand new $800 OEM gas tank for free.

IDK, I personally woulnd't get a grom unless it was practically free, I'd probably never ride it cuz it really doesn't get up to speed unless you live in a city.

Would be fun to rip around in the traffic a roma.

gonna be a good couple of months lads. I love my DR650 but after test riding the FZ it just doesn't even compare. At least this way I'll be able to make the DR a much more dirt/adv oriented bike and keep the street hooning on a dedicated streebike. I'm pretty hype

Hmm... i had a simular issue with a honda vt700.
New RR, new stator, and new batter. Still got hot wires and burnt up stator.
I started unplugging things until i had the entire system disconnected except the ignition.
Still had hot wires.
Ended up selling the bike. Never could figure it out.

Because all I have at the moment is the DR650 for personal transport. Plus, with my work, it's kind of dumb to only have a bike because of the nature of it all- where I have to go, all my tools and gear I have to bring, the transient nature of the job in general, etc.

I'm getting a pickup so I can put my bikes in the back and call it good

I have a 900rr. Not long after I got it, the cheap ass caltric (or some other cheap Chinese shit) regulator died. It's not worth it to fuck with that junk. Yes, I know it's only $16 on Amazon.

I replaced both the stator and the regulator with Electrosport components. Works flawlessly and the rr was larger with better cooling fins. And fit better against the frame. They're about $70 each and well worth the price. I also hear Ricks is just as bulletproof, though I haven't personally tried them. They're about the same price.

not sure how training schools do it but I assume they book it for me first then gimme a crash course

as long as I know exactly what the instructor wants to see, I'm not nervous
there's things like use of indicators. If there's nobody to benefit from me using it, do I use it or not?
if I do then the instructor will think I'm unaware that it's unnecessary

I'll be sure to ask beforehand

The way a motorcycle shunt system works is that the stator is always putting out 100%, and any unused power is shunted to ground hense the name shunt regulator. The problem with that is the problems of burnt stators/wiring because of all the amps going through wires which cause heat. The new series style regulator only draws as much power as the bike needs to run and charge the battery, no more. So there is less current being drawn which translates to less heat.
>>
>>17043793
so does that mean it's actually better for your stator to put a higher load on your electrical system?

Hello Gentlemen,

I recently gifted to myself this pretty Baby.
It is my first Motorcycle after doing my license on a naked Kawasaki Ninja 650n. (german fag)

It is by far not as scary or unconfortable as people made it sound. It also leans into Turns much easier.

But people always warned me about the front wheel going up when giving it good gas,
i did not try to do it deliberately yet, but already ripped it open pretty hard when going slower.

There was no indication of the thing ever going up. It just rapidly accelerates.

Would this be a power wheelie? Is that stuff even doable on a 600 when already at a travelling pace? Did i get memed on?
>>
>>17044423
The clutch, stator, stator cover, and key are all missing so I can't even try to start it. It looks like most of the engine is still there, but it has been sitting for years without oil in it so I can at least see some rust on the flywheel.

Where to sell parts other than ebay? The listings don't get much attention there.

Sometimes I have to fiddle with the ignition and cutoff switch the get the engine running. The starter works but the engine doesn't start. Could it be something simple like a loose cable harness? For suspension geometry reasons that's not exactly the case, although the limiting factor in stopping distance for most riders is being complete fucking pussies on the front brake anyways.

Like the reason ~00 Hondas have those linked brakes is so you get a bit of rear brake without having to think about modulating it and the retards who mash the rear brake actually have the front brake do something.

Why do girl even come to the internet in the first place if they can't even take a rape joke or something?
I don't understand.

And on 4chan of all places.

Unless you niggers stalked her in real life.

What's the hand signal to tell cagers to get off the fucking phone and to stop fucking texting on the freeway?
>>
>>17045692
you take the right wrist, twist it on a few degrees and get away from them.

They're not going to stop an ingrained habit because some sperg raged at them on the highway, it's pointless to try.

if you do whatever to try to communicate with a cager, you'll look like a pissed holier-than-thou asshole, so you better just take off, put the most distance you can between the car and you and be done with it

The stranger, sit on your hand until it numbs then masturbate. Result, feels like someone else jerking you off.

The reverse stranger, sit on your dick until it's numb then masturbate. Result, feels like jerking someone else off.

The Vouyer, sit on your hand and your penis. Result, feels like watching someone else jerking off.
