Eh if we're looking at a price:speed:reliability ratio am SN95 Mustang is probably at parity. Slightly slower, but far cheaper and more reliable. In fact you can skew it any way you want. Really slow but cheap and reliable? Really fast an reliable but expensive? I don't think you can really say beyond any question that the F bodies are the best at anything, especially since they're not even that cheap anymore unless you get a V6.

Certainly worth consideration though.

The 4th Gens aren't really excepted. The problem isn't that they can't turn. Its that they're not communicative and you don't know what the car is doing at the limit until you're pretty much driving at its limits. And on top it feels bigger than it really is because it has such a long profile. So yeah, it'll corner stupid fast. You'll just be doing close to illegal speeds and not really feel it. They rely more on wide sticky rubber than good chassis/suspension tuning.

That said I still kinda wanna get a 4th Gen 6 speed LT1 as a drift car. You can find them all day long for $3-5k.
