Amerifag who owns one here, they r not great stock but Matt Farahs is probably perfect. The rear axle is horribly constrained and can move around from left to right without a Panhard bar installed, the engine is still a bit choked from the malaise era, mostly in the heads and intake manifold, the stock suspension geometry is awful up front as well, they have no Ackerman stock, and the brakes are shit.

Howeve, they aren't too heavy and they have fucktons of aftermarket to fix everything wrong with them, so for under 20,000 you have something that beats modern mustang GTs.

It's a good base to build off of, the engine is very easy to make a lot of power out of, the transmission is stout, and the rear end is fantastic, it's just the suspension that needs a bit of work. Ok, more than a bit, but still. Also if you hate the headlights they make aftermarket one-piece ones that look different.

Not true, people use them to get clearance. The second function of cowl hoods has to do with cooling. These hoods draw in cool air while at speed, when idling or cruising at low speed they go from intake to exhaust venting out any hot air trapped under the hood.
