What does /o/ think of Matt Farah's foxbody?
Also, post Foxes.
He thought a skyline he was driving had a 4 cylinder. The owner had to correct him.
I think his car is probably the second -best handling mustang ever next to the GT350R. Total suspension rework or not, awesome to see a fox do that. If it wasn't relatively well known on the internet this would be a great canyon sleeper for lulz, nobody expects a fox to brake or corner.
No idea because I don't watch his youtube channel.
Missed the point. RB26's have oil issues, I was poking fun at him maybe not knowing much about the issues. Certain things you shouldn't do with them or they might break oil pumps, or pump too much oil into the head, draining the sump and starving the engine of oil
its handling is so bad its a meme
that should tell you something
its slow unless you dump money into it despite having a 4.9L v8
getting it to handle takes even more money
and I think its one of the ugliest cars around but thats subjective
best thing is that Fords V8 sounds great
Amerifag who owns one here, they r not great stock but Matt Farahs is probably perfect. The rear axle is horribly constrained and can move around from left to right without a Panhard bar installed, the engine is still a bit choked from the malaise era, mostly in the heads and intake manifold, the stock suspension geometry is awful up front as well, they have no Ackerman stock, and the brakes are shit.
Howeve, they aren't too heavy and they have fucktons of aftermarket to fix everything wrong with them, so for under 20,000 you have something that beats modern mustang GTs.
sounds no worse than the old cars ive had that where mainly stock
least stock one i had was a i6 n/a 2001 falcon and that was a turd but it was light and turned a corner something quick
Exactly. It's a good base to build off of, the engine is very easy to make a lot of power out of, the transmission is stout, and the rear end is fantastic, it's just the suspension that needs a bit of work. Ok, more than a bit, but still. Also if you hate the headlights they make aftermarket one-piece ones that look different.
>people here praise old shitty Japanese cars like they're god gift to earth
>foxbodys still get loads of hate even though there just as bad as old gook econoboxes
I don't like gook cars but I don't come here and act like a shitter because in the end were all car guys.
>Fat Marah advertising his shitty videos on reddit and here.
Yeah no thanks.
the trans and diff are okay, so what. you have to get rid of the rear axle to make it good anyway.
you say 302 like it means something. the coyote is a fucking dog even in the svt. you should not need 5 liters to make 230bhp i'd be embarrassed if i worked at ford.
It wouldn't hurt to spend 5 minutes reading a wikipedia article on your phone before you turn the camera on
Good meme though, saved for later.
>dangerously fast stock
I wouldn't go that far, it's not slow and it's not fast.
I would say that they are way too fast for how much of a deathtrap they are, while stock.
Great racecars though. Crazy lightweight, with a V8. Ive heard of people doing junkyard turbo and nitrous builds for like 4 grand and getting into the tens.
ahh I misinterpreted your post. Yes, foxbody are very dangerous cars. I'm pretty careful when i hit the tooj.
ALSO OTHER CARPI FAG WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!!!! I HOPE YOU DIDN'T DIE. YOU NEVER RESPONDED TO MY EMAIL AND I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU POST AT ALL SINCE THEN.
HAA. I see what u did there.. hes still not as annoying to watch as 75-80 percent of the other gearfags.
I can tell you with a straight face that the weak-as-glass T5s found in some third-gen f-bodies are not the same as the transmissions in foxbodies.
Why do V8 models not lunch them then?
Get rid of the stupid bonnet
Why does every foxbody have a stupid cowl when they're not needed in anyway and look terrible
>when they're not needed in anyway
Not true, people use them to get clearance. The second function of cowl hoods has to do with cooling. These hoods draw in cool air while at speed, when idling or cruising at low speed they go from intake to exhaust venting out any hot air trapped under the hood.
Check your spam folder? I replied the same day!
Dude they may be space age components but you're still just bolting them to a foxbody. You can do it with a socket set from Sears. Plus maybe some penetrating oil and an impact wrench if you're in the North.
That having been said, there's not necessarily any reason NOT to have someone else perform the work you want done other than to "feel a deeper connection" to the car which may or may not translate to actual practical value.
Foxbody is kind of a poorfag car so it's poorfags who still dictate the scene and definitely will turn your shit around and run you and your "lolrichfag clean fenganails" ass right off.
If a transmission breaks under normal use I'd consider it glass. If it holds up fine launching from a stop and accelerating normally, I'd consider it fine.
The 4cyl S10 t5 found in third gen camaros is not necessarily able to handle these things with a powerful engine connected to it.
Pretty much the case with any used car in its price bracket. The same could be said of 240sxs, miatas, etc. You don't need all of the maximum motorsports stuff, but all of it will bring it to essentially modern handling standards with those 295 tires.
He took a guy at complete face value and thought a datsun replica was a genuine article Ferrari 250 GTO, even when red flags came up the guy having no documentation, despite all the owners of those cars being on record, the guy refusing to pop the hood, AND Matt Farah can't tell the difference between an I6 a V12. No, Matt Farah knows just as little as the youtube car e-celebs.
