I was forced to test drive the old gen and new gen back to back.

Hands down the new Civic beats the old in terms of driver engagement. And the interior feels great to sit in compared to the old one.

It's still a civic and I'm a badgewhore so I would never own one.

Yeah, at an auto show. The interior struck me as pretty bland and standard econobox in design, but I liked the outside much better than the 9th gen Civics even with the increase to Accord size. Previous Star Trek dash was way cooler for its time. New interior quality is ok though. Didn't feel super cheap and better than anything Ford had on display.

Kinda cool that it has a DOHC with a turbo in base models now. Not sure what the translates to in real performance though, but it probably sounds and feels better than an R18.
